Has anyone noticed lately with the new listing tool that if you try and make a Buy it Now listing WITHOUT the Best Offer option...the listing STILL shows up with it after you're done, making you manually go back and edit it to where it is not listed? I first noticed this when I put a few different items up specifically again WITHOUT Best Offer on them, only to randomly receive one on one of the items.
This made me think "what in the world? I was sure I didn't check that box when I listed it" so I went to check it and sure enough...there it was indeed listed. I am seeing this again tonight also as I list multiple types of the same item, causing me to have to go back and edit them manually, which slows me down as you may imagine as I have many items I want to list.
Anyone else having this come up? This infuriates me. It's like Ebay yet again is trying to screw sellers by getting them to sell for less so that their sales look good as a site. It is ridiculous.

It happens all the time and sometimes it gets by me. It's embarassing to tell buyers making offers that you didn't mean to check that box.
What's next eBay? How about an automatic 99 cents on all auction listings?

Never happened to me at all. I list hundreds of items across a few accounts.

Now that I've read this I'm wondering if the Seller whose items I was just looking at, that I would like to buy several of and whose auctions say Buy It Now or Best Offer -- the items are listed for -- begining with .99¢ and up - are actually asking for a Best Offer??
I would also like to buy several of her items, maybe 8 or 9.
How would I do that if I make an offer on more than 1 and she accepts all of my offers??

Doesn't make much difference now that ebay allows buyers to make offers even if the box isn't checked ...
Now if they automatically check your box off and also sets an auto-accept at a lower price, THAT would be a real problem.

do they really? well what is the point of having the best offer box then if you're gonna allow people to make offers either way? makes no sense...not that I should be surprised.

I don't even see a best offer option in the listing set up anymore. I hate the new listing style.
