Quick ? I have my bank account verified, and I'm all set to sell. I don't want the sale proceeds going to my bank though, as most of what I make will only go back to Ebay. Is there a way to just keep the $$ with Ebay or better yet, have the excess go to my paypal?
TY!

So, can it be moved *directly* to paypal, or it still has to funnel through the bank first?

Nope. Your selling proceeds will go to your checking account. You can move it to your PayPal, if you choose.

ebay is working on a program to keep some funds in MP for sellers who want to purchase with it or just let it build up, its down the road still

The solution to your Solution is... No. Payouts don't move directly to PayPal any longer, but to your checking account.

I see you already have some sales... congratulations!
Those sales' payouts will be moving to you (quite possibly) a bit slowly at first, but they'll come.

Why would you not want it to go to your bank? What do you mean by what you make will go back to eBay? EBay will take it's fees out before they deposit the money for the sale into your bank account. If you are purchasing shipping labels through eBay that can also be deducted from the transaction prior to eBay sending your payout.
Once it is in your checking account you can always transfer the money to what every bank or financial institution you choose. I move money out of my eBay checking account all the time.

My Ebay ac is just for selling stuff I don't want to buy stuff I do. I'm not looking to make profit. I also don't want the money co-mingled with the household bills, etc. No biggie, that's ebays policy I can live with it, was just hoping for a better option, or at least some type of alternative if available.

just open a new, dedicated account strictly for your ebay transactions at your bank....
direct ebay payouts there, then designate that account as the primary source of funds for your paypal account....no extra transfers or work for you....when you use your paypal to buy something, PP will fund itself from your 'new' account
no intermingling of funds......

I'm one of the sellers who opted in to (the then 'brand new!') Managed Payments system in August, 2018.
At the time, I used my decades-old personal checking account... since the info matched my info here. Like you, no biggie...
I still use the same account, and it's never been problematic. Granted, over time my Payout account has morphed into 'eBay only', as my household monies now come from another account...
Sounds like you're ready to roll with it... I wish you good luck and great satisfaction selling here!

I see you have already marked your post as the solution, but here is a work around.
Well, sort of a work around.
You can attach a debit card (could be a PP debit card) to the account to "use payouts on demand" to request "express payments".
You could set your "payouts" to monthly, but before the payout goes to your checking account you could request an "express payout" to the debit card. There is a 1.5% service for that just as there was a charge from PP to "express" your money to your bank.
48 hour delay when setting up. You could set your payouts to "monthly" before starting out in that program to allow time to get a debit card if needed, then request Express Payouts before the normal Tuesday payout .

Like a lot of sellers I have a separate checking account for eBay sales that is separate from my other checking account which I use for everything else. Makes things easier from a security perspective as well as a tax perspective. If there is a breach I can simply close down the eBay checking account and open a new one.
I buy very little on eBay these days but I still use PayPal to make the payment.
