Bad measurement of sellers process/standards

Tracking uploaded on time and validated measurement is not a good indication of a seller's process and response to customers.  The one problem I have is when a customer buys and item and then indicates that there will be more to buy in a week and asks for a delay in shipping so they can get combined shipping.  As a good seller, I tell my customers that I will do that.  After a week, the customer buys more, I combine shipping, saving the customer money, and send the items off.  But eBay says I am delinquent in shipping cause I waiting to save the customer money and follow the customers wishes.  I found no way to indicate this to eBay that they would listen to.  I am an individual selling my collection and it's gotten to the point where I know eBay cares about big time sellers and I am not really listened to.  I know it's true cause of the interactions between me and eBay over their lack of processes in their IT department.  Thanks and I wonder if anyone else, small, individual sellers have this problem.

Re: Bad measurement of sellers process/standards

I think what fashunu4eeuh may be suggesting  is to post these items as "buy it now" only.

Remove the auction format all together.

When I buy books/media etc, I always look at sellers other items to see if there is a good deal to be had through combined shipping. It is a good way to make extra sales. If you are comfortable with the value, buy it now is a good option. Just make sure you check your sales daily and ship out quickly.

Simply increase your handling time to 1 week or whatever maximum time you want to give your buyers to combine shipments.

That would be nice.  Many of my buyers are on fixed incomes and have to wait to get money.

Isn't everyone on a fixed income? I don't know about anyone else, but I only get paychecks from my job twice a month. It's my responsibility to budget my money to account for my needs and wants in the meantime.

"Fixed income" generally means social security or disability.  I'm only semi-retired, but if I quite my selling job, my income is pretty much fixed because I collect social security and that's what I live on. No job advancement for me.

Not if you use the commonly accepted definition of "fixed income".

"What does living on a fixed income mean, exactly? Living on a fixed income generally applies to older adults who are no longer working and collecting a regular paycheck. Instead, they depend mostly or entirely on fixed payments from sources such as Social Security, pensions, and/or retirement savings"
