We have a problem with buyer. Buyer has made return request, stating Missing parts or pieces as a reason. Buyer has sent a link to our package opening video .
This particular product package has protective seal sticker. Before opening the package manufacturer seal sticker needs to be removed. But as seen on the video customer opened package without removing seal sticker which means sealing sticker was removed before this video was made.
When customer opened the box, viewer can see some wooden debris inside instead of product.
Also, in our personal opinion, customer is so emotionless which makes us think that he knew what he would see (There is 2 peoples . 1 videooperator, 2 man who open the package).
We only sell genuine products and most of them are sold in original manufacturer packaging. Every item is being checked personally by head of the company. We always try to resolve any issues and find the best solution that would satisfy both our customer and us. We value our cuctomers and our reputation and would not do anything like this.
Please help to resolve this problem, we really need your help. We think that this person is cheating and might take advantage of other sellers too and damage seller's reputation.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,

All that really matters is that you do accepts returns for 30 days after the buyer receive the package on delivery. Accepting returns on eBay is not negotiable and a buyer can return for any reason within the time frame.
The only question you should be thinking about and focusing your attention on is who pays return shipping? For the reason you explained means seller pays return shipping. All the other stuff you mentioned about a video and a seal does not matter for a return on eBay. The user agreement you agreed to does not have exceptions like you explained. It is pretty much either you accept returns or you do not.
If you value your reputation as you stated then just accept the return and move on to better transactions. There really is no fight to be won be delaying or trying to find a loophole. Selling online is not a perfect business and even OEM parts have issues from time to time.
Let it go and satisfy the buyer without any exception, when it is done block the buyer if you wish to and move on. Do not let it get to you about the ethics of buyers. We all know there are many different levels of honor in the human race.
Good Luck selling!

But like others have mentioned..not much you can do.. weird how I saw a similar video on Youtube once from an infamous scammer..pretty much the same thing..
Out of curiosity, anything on his feedback from other sellers, disguising a positive with negative comments?
All I can add is I am wondering if now we should wear gloves and a face mask and open products out doors because you never know what you may get back and if it could be harmful.
A lot of sickos out there.
This is scary.

Great points, GoodLuckSelling!
@balticpartssia You have a feedback score of 211 as a seller so you probably have 500 or so total transactions under your belt. That would mean your loss rate is 0.002, which is exceptionally low.
Realize that:
Risks of selling are assumed by the seller in anticipation of profit on the aggregate
Buyers are privileged because their payment carries consumer protection and buyer's
purchases are made sight unseen
Life is not fair
There is no lack of sellers (or their items) to take the place of sellers who leave the venue
because there are no barriers to entry into this market
Buyers' money and brand loyalty to eBay is the scarce resource in this market; and
You are both accountable to eBay for customer satisfaction; and
You, alone, are responsible for anticipating and funding your business expenses

Hopefully they will not leave a negative and so your reputation will not be damaged that way.
Good Luck to you!

Isn't the Russian postal service notorious for theft? If it wasn't the buyer who carefully opened the package and repackaged with wood debris, then that leaves the possibility that a postal employee did the dirty deed.
Let's assume the buyer already knows how corrupted the system is, therefore it's only routine practice to capture video while opening packages. And maybe he didn't express a whole lot of emotion upon seeing the wood debris because it was no big surprise. It may have happened in the past, so his reaction is more like "Ha, just as I thought" instead of "Aaaaargh! What the #@$#!?"
By the way, how often do you ship to Russia, and is the first time such a situation has happened?
In the past I sold a $100 item to Russia, and the buyer claimed it was stolen. I refunded, and after that I blocked sales to Russia. There may well be honest buyers and honest postal workers there, but that one time was enough to make me decide I'd rather lose sales than deal with "lost/stolen" merchandise. It's sad that one bad apple spoils the whole bunch.

Emerald, that is quite a loss. Sorry that happened to you. Blocking makes sense, you don't want that to happen again. I believe that shipping there is problematic; there was a Russian buyer, IIRC, who lost his MBG because of all the cases he filed.

Bottom line is this. eBay does not care about it's sellers. Only the buyers are protected. I was told by an apeals person that the buyer is always right and seller is always wrong .the pictures you upload are pointless because they will not be considered. I sold a tool for 1425.00. buyer took it and changed out the motherboard. When I got it back all the computer connectors on the back had magically changed colors. I showed this to eBay and they said that the pictures I submitted only prove that I sent the wrong product. So I lost the 1425.00 + 30 shipping + 30 return shipping + 200.00 seller fee they would not refund. You just have to accept that your gonna lose and move on.
Good luck
