BUYERS NOT LEAVING FEEDBACK

Why is there no compulsory method put in place for buyers to leave Feedback?

it is an integral part of ebay.

Re: BUYERS NOT LEAVING FEEDBACK

"I find it odd that people say to check the sellers feedback, might be the same ones that say feedback doesn't matter. LOL :slightly_smiling_face: Not saying it is the case in any reply here, just an observation." It doesn't matter...anymore. Certainly not a buyers feedback history anyway. The only thing worth checking is their feedback left for others. As far as seller feedback goes, the only thing worth checking is if there is a pattern of bad customer service like not shipping, shipping fakes, poor descriptions, etc. Granted, you're pretty much covered by the MBG but sometimes you just don't want to go through the procedure. I can't wait until eBay finally gets rid of it once and for all.

Re: BUYERS NOT LEAVING FEEDBACK

Forcing buyer to leave feedback may be good for your account stars, BUT it might make buyer MAD because they don't WANT TO leave feedback, so they most likely leave a NEGATIVE feedback

Re: BUYERS NOT LEAVING FEEDBACK

Personally, I'd be willing to bet that making feedback compulsory would result in

(a) feedback being left by buyers for sellers that sellers don't really want to see.

(b) a certain number of buyers leaving eBay.

Re: BUYERS NOT LEAVING FEEDBACK

As a seller, feedback is left after buyer pays and package is shipped. That is my choice.

On the other hand, if a buyer chooses to leave feedback, it really surprises me. Once a seller has attained a good number of feedback, getting as many sales should be the objective.

Re: BUYERS NOT LEAVING FEEDBACK

Because most eBay buyers are not part of the eBay community. They just want to buy the item and leave. They don't care about feedback. If eBay made it mandatory to leave feedback, the buyers would simply shop elsewhere.

Feedback means nothing anymore. If you doubt me, check the feedback of sellers with hundreds of negative feedback a month. They still sell thousands of items each month. Buyers are protected. They know they will get their money back so feedback no matter how negative will not deter them from buying from a seller.

Re: BUYERS NOT LEAVING FEEDBACK

Do you always leave positive feedbacks first? From my selling experience, I found that my buyers will leave feedbacks for 3 reasons:
1. They want to receive feedbacks back (to achieve this, you must not be the one leaving feedback first)
2. They are extremely happy with their purchases (maybe the way you packaged the shipment/super fast shipping time that throw them off/item condition is much better than they expected)
3. They are just simply nice/they want to buy again

Re: BUYERS NOT LEAVING FEEDBACK

At this time when the UK is lockdown, and many people are not working, and many people are not going to have any money very soon, I think you should be happy just to get sales, never mind feedback.

ebay will never make leaving feedback compulsory..

Anyone notice that a certain member who usually chimes in on questions relating to feedback has not yet posted on this thread?
