Why is there no compulsory method put in place for buyers to leave Feedback?
it is an integral part of ebay.

Forcing buyer to leave feedback may be good for your account stars, BUT it might make buyer MAD because they don't WANT TO leave feedback, so they most likely leave a NEGATIVE feedback

Personally, I'd be willing to bet that making feedback compulsory would result in
(a) feedback being left by buyers for sellers that sellers don't really want to see.
(b) a certain number of buyers leaving eBay.

As a seller, feedback is left after buyer pays and package is shipped. That is my choice.
On the other hand, if a buyer chooses to leave feedback, it really surprises me. Once a seller has attained a good number of feedback, getting as many sales should be the objective.

Because most eBay buyers are not part of the eBay community. They just want to buy the item and leave. They don't care about feedback. If eBay made it mandatory to leave feedback, the buyers would simply shop elsewhere.
Feedback means nothing anymore. If you doubt me, check the feedback of sellers with hundreds of negative feedback a month. They still sell thousands of items each month. Buyers are protected. They know they will get their money back so feedback no matter how negative will not deter them from buying from a seller.

At this time when the UK is lockdown, and many people are not working, and many people are not going to have any money very soon, I think you should be happy just to get sales, never mind feedback.
ebay will never make leaving feedback compulsory..

Anyone notice that a certain member who usually chimes in on questions relating to feedback has not yet posted on this thread?
