After multiple recent scam offers on different items, I again am questioning an offer. Is it possible for a buyer to list only a small number of positive feedbacks w/o the comments displayed and also indicate 10 followers, but show no transactions? If someone indicates positve feedback, shouldn't I be able to see the comments? Doesn't seem right to me- advice appreciated.

Yes. There are thousands of sellers who ask too much for their stuff. They will have followers because people are curious if someone will actually pay the asking price. In fact, the higher overpriced the item is the more followers you will have. They have zero transactions because no one is willing to pay that much.

Some buyers keep their feedback private as well as sellers. Grant it, in my opinion it's not a good idea, but it is allowed.
Remember this...new buyers have to start somewhere. I get them all the time. What to be leery of is if they ask you to text them or can they pay you with Paypal directly, when it is not how sellers are paid anymore. Block and report those types.
Happy Selling!

Assuming you are asking if it's possible for a buyer to show only a small number of feedbacks, the answer is "yes" but the buyer has no control over FBs he receives, so don't understand your question. And there are times when a seller just leaves a positive without further comments. Followers do not mean much in the overall scheme of things. Hopefully, you know a buyer can only receive positive FB. What could you gain by being able to see the comments a buyer has received, since they can only be positives?
