Automatic Promoted Listings?

Is there any way I can have eBay to automatically set all of my listings to a specific Promoted Listings percent?  For example, I may just want all listings (or all future listings, or all listings not already in a campaign) to be set at say 5%.  This would save a lot of time.  Can this be done?

Re: Automatic Promoted Listings?

I'm not sure that they can do that. I have a store and can go into promoted listings and set a flat purcent for all items I choose to be in the campaign - as I'm listing today - I'm just setting the promoted % manually.

Re: Automatic Promoted Listings?

Yes you should be able to do this.

  • Click on the create a new promotion
  • then choose select listings in bulk
  • then click on all and unclick on recommended listings
  • then choose your percent
  • then click on apply same rate to all listings and continue and then just follow through to the end.

Good Luck Selling!

Re: Automatic Promoted Listings?

No, unfortunately I'm not aware of any option. I'd take advantage of it too, if they offered it.

Fortunately for me, all my items are in a database so I can use the bulk campaign tool, but it still takes time to update it all the time. It would be nice if they could just do it automatically....

Re: Automatic Promoted Listings?

Yes... with the "Custom label/SKU" option. Choose your sale, then when you add the items type in a SKU like "10 percent". That means every listing you have (past and future) with the Custom label/SKU as "10 percent" will have that promotion automatically. I also believe it is case sensitive.

The downside is that if you were already using the Custom label/SKU for something else... you'd have to remove it and change it for this purpose. And yes, you'd have to manually add that Custom label/SKU to each of your listings as you create them or revise. Just also remember to extend the duration of that promotion until like 2099 or something so it doesn't end without you realizing. Unless it's just a markdown promo, then it only lasts for like 45 days. Just keep remaking it over and over.

PS. I've recently been noticing two of my promo's behaving oddly though. All of a sudden it stopped including a few listings that included for the past 4 months. Another glitch probably.
