I offer a shipping discount when buyers buy more than 1 item. But it doesn't show up when they add items to their cart and go to checkout. Or, when they ask for an invoice the full shipping still displays for each item. I then have to manually edit it. What step am I missing?

How is your shipping set up? I would guess "each additional item" on the listing page? That only applies on the same listing and only works if you have more than one and the buyer only buys more than one IN THAT listing.. There used to be a way to "group" items.......assigning them to A, B, C etc and then making a rule for each group.........i.e. from group A, add 50c for each additional one.......for B, add $1, etc.
If that's still there (it was on the big preference page under shipping, I think), I'm not sure it works, as I've seen Blue advise using Promotions Manger to create a shipping "promo"............ and having never done it, won't try to guess how it's done.
Frankly, I would "shop" like items and see what other sellers do.......

I will gladly try to help you set it up. It will take some time though. It`s been awhile since I set mine up so please bear with me. I looked at only 1 of your listings and clicked the shipping tab and it does not show a shipping discount is available so it`s not set up right.
From glancing at your items it looks like you sell record albums, cassette tapes and dvds only. Is that correct? If that is correct you can set up 3 different flat rate shipping rules for each of the 3 categories or just one flat rate shipping rule so each additional item will cost xx.xx amount.
You can come back to the thread with your goals and I`ll try and walk you thru the process.

The flat rate shipping discounts don't work either. I offer a shipping discount for each additional item, say if they buy more than one game or movie. But the discounts never work anymore. I have to manually refund the difference to buyers every time.

@gamersbaystore Yeah, when I click on your shipping tabs I don`t see yours showing either. I can see mine but I don`t know if potential buyers can. It seems to be working ok for me? They have to be set up in "selling preferences" AND coincide with "business policies" or it defaults to non-combined.
This is what I see when I click my shipping tabs, I have 3 different profiles set up but am only showing 2 here:

correction..."site preference"...NOT "selling preferences".

It may work for you, but again it has not worked once for me this entire year. I can check my shipping policies and the discounts are there, but when people check out they are never applied.

I'm starting to figure it out. I was not going to "business policies". Once I opted in there I started entering my info and now when I click on shipping for my items I am seeing the discount for additional items. Thanks everyone!
