When I attempt to first list an item for auction, the automatic relist box "Automatically relist this item up to 8 times if it doesn't sell" no longer appears. It doesn't appear using the Quick Listing Tool, nor when a previously listed item becomes an "Unsold Item".
I have a lot of low price items and the Insertion Fees are prohibitive if I have to pay for relisting. Any advice will be appreciated

Nice to know they are just lying to us then when we call to ask what's going on and they say it's 1. not actually happening, like I'm an idiot, or 2. It's a "glitch".

This is not true for me. None of my 7 day auction listings are auto relisting anymore. I have been doing this since December and had no problem until 2 weeks ago. There is no box to check on either listing tool for me. The EBay reps said I was nuts and had me send a screen shot of my selling description listing page. They agreed I wasn't nuts -- it isn't there. Called it a glitch and they don't know how to fix it! I have been waiting over a week for the magic IT people and no help. I will not be able to continue like this. It ruins everything this way.

I have the same problem. Have spent hours on the phone and they can't figure it out.

I will not sell without it! It has ruined Ebay for me!

I have had the same experience! I started listing at the end of last year with the box to relist 8 times. Suddenly, it’s gone! Two reps have not been able to help me. One told me to clear my cache. Does eBay even have a cache on the phone app? No one has mentioned that it is only for new, casual or lapsed sellers. They escalate it to IT and then I never hear from them again.

I started this thread a long time ago.
My advice to all is never expect to get an accurate answer from an eBay phone rep. It is a waste of time. You can usually find the answer here on the forum.
You would have quickly found, as I did, that the auction auto-relist with no fee is a promotion for new sellers, and it disappears when eBay decides you have become a frequent seller. I had many low-priced auction items and listing fees would have made them uneconomical So I had to convert to fixed price selling of them at a higher price and negotiating on offers. Of course, eBay now requires automatic relisting of fixed price which has its own positives and negatives.

Amazing to read this string. I've had this problem as well as a few calls with customer service. Each representative has told me it is a glitch and they escalated it to IT and the problem will be resolved in a day or two. The problem has not been resolved and it sounds like there is no plan to resolve it. If this is actually policy, that is seriously messed up that they do not establish it somewhere as so. So much time wasted trying to find out what is suddenly "wrong" with my account. They could have simply stated automatic relist is a beginner feature that disappears after so many sales. Such bad business.

That's where I'm at currently too. Half a dozen contact to support (phone and chat) still not fixed. Dropped well over 100 listings in past 24-48 hours. I manually relisted a huge batch last night but was charged fees. Holding off doing anymore until I know this is resolved. Items listed 1 week ago are just ending. I have been listing exactly the same way for months.

Did you get this resolved? It just happened to me about 2 weeks ago! I'm holding off too as I refuse to pay fees my margins are already tight. Why are they punishing us long time (16 years) and 100% feedback, top rated sellers, and right before the fourth quarter load up? Dont they want to make money - more than their .35 per listing? Any insight would be so helpful! Thanks.
