Auctions listing

I got a question I’ve seen auctions that go crazy and end up making more money then the item is even worth. Which is what you want as a seller. But I’ve my auctions I do are lucky to get one bidder. I had to let stuff go at a price I really didn’t want too. But I didn’t want to pay for the safety net. So is this a thing where you have more followers at your store or what do you do to get your auctions notice for bidders? Asking for a little insight... @eBaysellers @@eBay auctions @newtosellingonebay

Re: Auctions listing

You asked so; you need different background for you items. What you are using now, the a lot of the items are lost in the background. While I understand trying to be consistent, it's not working for me when I looked. The first view is what people see when they are looking at the listing page. Try using a solid color photo gray back ground or one that will allow the item to be seen better, but stay away from prints. Will this help up the bids, it might. Make the items "POP" ! The number of items sold last month don't look that bad.

Re: Auctions listing

I find auctions to be a waste of everyones time.  I ususlly will not bid on auctions as I do not want to wait for the listing to end.

As a seller I only use auction if it is a rare item or something I don't mind selling for really cheap and just want to move the items.  If you get one bid consider yourself lucky.

I would never start an auction at less then I want to get for it.

As an aside your pictures need some help.  Get rid of that busy background.  You cannot even see what the item is you are trying to sell.  Try to take pics in better lighting as well.  they are really dark.

This quest stands on the edge of a blade...stray but a little and you shall fail to the ruin of us all.

Re: Auctions listing

Don't pay for a reserve, start the item at the lowest price you'll be happy with

Only if they end up actually paying for the item at that ridiculous price. Nonpayment is an issue for many on eBay.

You do not have to pay for a "safety net" (I assume you mean a reserve price). You simply start the auction at the minimum you would be willing to accept.

Attractive inventory sells itself.

Your Tom Brady card sells routinely on eBay at a well established market price. Over 200 of them have sold recently for less than $5. IMHO that is a poor candidate for an auction.

Re: Auctions listing

To add; learn to use the Advance search, behind the search button, if you are not. You can use it to find out what items are selling for, or completed auctions to see how often they may be relisted, because they are not moving.

Re: Auctions listing

You need to rethink your pricing if you are letting items go at a price you didn't want to.
