Hello, I have 10 items for sale & I've always posted no International shipping. Now I have an individual that has e-mail me from one of my auctions requesting I offer shipping to Canada on another auction I have available. I've asked the buyer to e-mail me form the auction he is interested in and I'll change the shipping exclusion so I can offer shipping to Canada. I've made the changes in my auction to allow shipping to Canada, but the buyer keeps tell me he still can't "Buy it Now" . So I asked him to e-mail me from the auction he is interested in, he states he can't. According to the buyer, he can only e-mail me from the original (or 1st) auction he started the conversation. I'm confused, I've never heard of anything like this. Since I changed my shipping to INCLUDE Canada, he still states he can't bid???? Or e-mail me form that auction?????? I've checked the buyers ID and it looks legit, any thoughts????? Thanks for your assistance.

The shipping to Canada part is up to you but DO NOT communicate wit this person outside of the ebay message system.

Or.....you could just tell them you don't ship to Canada.

@tripp8333 The Buyer "thinks" you can just change the listing from an Auction to a Fixed Priced GTC Buy it now listing, you can't without Ending the listing then Relisting it and changing the format.
The ONLY way you can have a Buy it now on an Auction is if you have the Buy it Now price at least 30% HIGHER then the starting bid price AND it will only remain until it is purchased OR someone places a bid.
I don't ship to Canada, most of my stuff would go Priority which is 4 to 5 times the cost to ship domestically ... dumb considering I can drive to the Canadian boarder in 6 hours ... its not like shipping overseas ...
Let the Buyer know that for now you will let the current auction run its course and if it does not sell you will Relist it as a Buy it now for a day or two so they can purchase it outright ...

You can add them to your Buyer Exemption list. That's what I do when I think I've allowed whatever is blocking them & they still can't purchase. Has worked every time for me. I can't remember exactly where it is, but I believe it's in your settings. If you search in Help on Buyer Exemption List, it should take you there.

Thank you for your response...This is a "Buy it Now" auction, but I've got my concerns about this guy. Too many problems with his requests. I have not & will not engage him in a conversation outside of E-Bay. I will ignore any more of his questions/requests. Thanks again for your assistance.

Thank you for your response, I will add this bidder to my "Block Bidders List".

You say you removed the block on Canada for the listing. Did you add a shipping charge for Canada? Without specified shipping the Canadian buyer still can't finalize a purchase.

There may be a bit of confusion here simply from some word choice. When I view your listings, I do not see that you have any Auctions running at this time. I only see Fixed Price listings. Auctions and Fixed price listings aren't the same thing.
You have a long list of countries that you do not ship to which isn't always necessary. You can select in your listing set up which countries you want to ship to besides the US and enter the additional shipping you would charge to ship to that country. I do that for Canada, UK and Australia. I do ship worldwide, but I state shipping to these countries as most international sales for me come from those countries.
Not sure what is going on with your buyer, but nothing should be preventing them from emailing you from any listing they want to. You might just consider letting this potential sale go. Hard to say if they are just confused or are trying to take advantage of you. Just remember, ALWAYS have ALL of your communications with a buyer inside of Ebay. No exceptions. Not even for a local pick up. That is for your protection as well as the buyer.

That's not what I was suggesting. I thought you WANTED to let them buy it. If so, add them to your EXEMPTIONS list. Which means they will be EXEMPT from any restrictions you have & be allowed to buy.
The BBL is if you don't want them to ever be allowed to buy. The Exemption list is if you want them to be able to buy & they are having problems due to a restriction you have.
