Dear eBay,
Maybe if you change the date on your main servers to 1999 it will fix everything.

But then what will happen a year later when we hit 2000?
DISASTER!

NAH, I thought we proved that to be false.
Anyway, I'm serious. Not trying to funny at all.
I can see the eBay techs scratching their head, saying "MAYBE".

If we went back to the site as it was in 1999 it would be a disaster for most sellers very quickly. No more electronic payments, no mobile apps and the sales that come from that, we be paying for 11 of our 12 pics on a listing, waiting close to 14 days to close out a non paying bidder claim, no more variation listings, no volume discounts and so many more things.
I know some think rolling back would fix everything and I guess depending on your goal it would. It would certainly put us all out of business pretty quickly as we could not compete with other sites.
