Auction pages

I am just wondering if anyone can shed some light on this ( you're thinking) or explain to me why this makes any sense! I have currently one live auction, it is a very beautiful quality Emerald & Diamond Gold ring. I was looking over the auction page today and was shocked to see 8 or 10 emerald rings, and quite a few loose emeralds featured on my auction's page ! Many of these are not the quality of my ring and are less expensive. To me, this is outright sabotage of me and my auction! Why does it make any sense for me to list an item and have Ebay sling 15 or 20 more directly related items right onto my page! Many people will be pulled to a less expensive item just because it's less expensive. I was so upset, I asked for a call from Ebay ( after spending an inordinate amount of time getting around the bot!) The first person who called me back, appeared to have hung up on me, the second just kept saying, " Do not worry, you have lots of traffic, your ring will sell and you have 100% positive feedback...Byeeee"!! I want to hear what the Ebay community has to say $ thankyou.

Auction pages

Hi @gemgeni242

It has been the way eBay has set up the pages for years now, those other listings are mainly sponsored listings being promoted by other Sellers.  However, MANY Sellers (me included) agree that those listings should be OUTSIDE a Sellers listing space so as not to break it up.

After so many years buying and selling here, I can't fathom how you've never noticed that all item listings have dozens of other item ads on the page.  Every single listing.  I can't even imagine what a listing would look like without those, even though I know it wasn't always the case, just so long ago its erased from my visual memory.
