Attempting to sell an item but cannot list due to selling limit amount.

I am currently trying to sell an item worth hundreds of dollars but am currently unable to. I get the message "This listing would cause you to exceed the amount you can list. You can list up to $10.00 more in total sales this month. Please consider reducing the starting price or request to list more."

I go into the selling overview and see that my monthly selling limit is "1 item" or "$10."

This is the second item I have ever sold in my history. My first one was sold years ago for hundreds of dollars as well but without any issues.

Is there a way to sell my current item? Thank you very much for your assistance.

no way to sell 100's of dollars worth of stuff........you have to build up, showing that you can/will handle sales correctly.  It's to prevent scammers from coming in and hitting Ebay with expensive stuff and then running before the complaints come in............

As @dhbookds said, no way other than building up a history of successful sales. Your previous sale is too old to count towards your history; back when they had more liberal limits.

If you have not sold before or if it's been a long time since your last sale you get treated as a new seller. They limit new sellers to protect both buyers and such sellers from getting in over their head. Just have to list what they allow and build a track record.  You can try and ask for an increase. Not sure they will do it before you make even one sale however. Click the help and contact link at lower right of this page to contact eBay.

Good advice as usual but let me pick your brain a little. Just recently we've had posters,  brand new just outta the womb list very expensive items. One poster had art work at $2500. each piece but ended up taking them down per advice.

     So my question is why is some allowed to list high-end costly items with zero FB and newly created accts when this OP does have good feedback numbers ( I know buying only pos) but still is experienced somewhat on ebay?

Good question.   It could have been the number of listings made in a short time or the type of items. A lot of name brand items might trigger a flag where used items might not.  A sudden flood of listings for new items also could be what the bots are looking for.   If the op could tell us what all they were trying to list and it's listing price, we might get an idea of how that blocking process works.
