Hello, I want to diversify into another area or two instead of just the one I'm in now, which is vintage perfume. I used to be an antiques dealer back in the UK before I emigrated, and my background is fine art and I know a bit about vintage paintings, handmade glass and fine china, but I don't know if I should invest in this sort of stock to sell during Covid. As opposed to perfume, these items are both labor and material intensive to pack carefully, and expensive to ship when they sell. I don't mind that but I am interested to hear what people think about starting to get into selling such specialized items during these times. I am aiming at middle market, not very high end as I don't have a lot to invest in the first place. That also limits my ability to carry a large amount of stock as well, I guess. My question to those of you in the vintage and antiques market, how are you finding things these days? Do you have any advice for me?
Best wishes to all and take care.
Rebecca

"Are collectors still collecting during Covid?"
Yes.

I don't sell in those categories but my personal observation is Ebay is not really the place for fine china, and painting etc. Regardless of what you decide to do I would not invest too much into such and maybe just nibble for starters with a few items.
