Did you mean:

Approved return for a buyer, but that was not enough...

A buyer left me negative feedback but not before writing this:

"Just waste my time to doing all this why you guys don’t check before send out or why don’t you guy list on the post for the notice for the customer?so I just want my refund I don’t have time to do all this if you don’t give me a refund I just have to give you a bad customer experience and you can keep the $10 "

I wrote them a second time that all they had to do was ship the item back to me and all of their money would be refunded. But no, they wanted a full refund and keep the item. The feedback they left:

"Worst seller ever seen in eBay item was sent not match to their post and waste my time money gas to ship back and no customer experience ever for this seller don’t buy from them be careful"

Also this buyer has been very generous in writing bad feedback to other sellers in the past. Well eBay rejected my claim.

Well eBay rejected my claim.

If you used the on-line form for feedback removal, all claims are rejected.  It will be the same if you call CS, and get a low tier rep that can only read from a script.  Use the "report the buyer" feature, and then call back.  It may not work either, but worth a try.

It would not prevent me from buying from you - the FB left makes the buyer look like an idiot - not you.

I would reply to the FB in a professional manner:

Offered full refund of price and shipping upon return of item - buyer declined

The fact that it was a $8 sales that we can all see makes the buyer seem petty and clueless

What was the issue with the item?

Was the listing inaccurate and/or was the item misrepresented?

Unfortunately, and to be honest, eBay has allowed this to happen on several occasions. They really don't care about sellers getting screwed out of their item and money. This happened to me with a nasty buyer and I learned the hard way.  eBay let them keep the item and get a refund. No matter how much I tried to plead my case and show evidence, they sided with him because they want money and they're greedy. eBay legitimately only cares about buyers on eBay. It's the truth.

Unless something has changed my understanding was that a request for feedback revision goes to the buyer - not to Ebay. Thus the recipient is not likely to agree to the request unless his complaint has been worked out and he has agreed to take back his Neg.

You are describing feedback revision request correctly but the previous post was discussing feedback removal. Removal process is different from revision.

Thanks to those who commented and gave some advice. Just wanted to add an update. The case eventually closed because of inaction on the buyers part. Also, the negative feedback left to me was removed automatically. This is the message from eBay:

"We reviewed this case and have closed it without any refund to the buyer.

The case will not affect your seller performance. Any feedback left for this transaction will be removed.

The buyer did not return the item to you within the required timeframe."

Hope this is helpful to know to some.

Thanks again.

Glad it worked out for you as it did.

You did put Buyer on BBL, correct?  And would recommend still reporting the buyer citing their threats and abuse of ebay code of conduct.

If enough Sellers report these awful Buyers, maybe e-Bay will finally do something about them.

You may be able to remove a defect because the buyer threatened negative feedback.
