I worked with the developers of Sellers Ledger initially as they stated they developed GoDaddy Bookkeeping, or should I say GoDaddy bought it from them. In my opinion, SL was late to the game months after the GD software retired.
I have been using WAVE after getting tired of waiting for the Seller Ledger product to get out of BETA. I have an account and checked in on SL today to see how it has progressed. Good and Bad from what I can see. The layout is very similar to the GD product that many loved. Checking my WAVE acct it seems to be importing/syncing all of my income and expenses from eBay and my bank accounts. Checking the SL product it is failing to capture over 50% of the eBay expenses or cost of goods as I buy most of my inventory off eBay. I do not have time to manually input hundreds of transactions I have made on eBay. I find no support whatsoever on SL, just a FAQ option. No email, no chat, no phone numbers for support. That's major.
The main issue for WAVE is that I don't see a Schedule C which we all know is needed at the end of the year for tax filing. Wave offers superior support, IMO. Chat, phone, advisor one on one support, etc. I have tried all of them and was satisfied with the responses.
I realize some sellers use Quickbooks or a spreadsheet. That's great, but not for me. Just curious if anyone is using the above products, WAVE or Seller Ledger, for tracking income and expenses and what you have found is best.
Thanks!

Nor do you have to. The IRS does not need the details of each and every transaction. All they need is the totals which you can get from your eBay monthly statement, which you can download to your computer as permanent backup information. I have a simple excel spreadsheet which I update once a month in minutes. And in the event a company goes out of business (GoDaddy bookkeeping, for example) I never lose the information.

I was one of the many consultants and seasoned eBay sellers that helped get Seller Ledger (SL) off the ground. It's been working great for me. I enter expense information on it about every two days, and I have been thrilled with its reliability, similarity, and simplicity to GoDaddy Online Bookkeeping before its demise 14 months ago. I especially like the Schedule C information automatically populated, which GD did not have. All my transaction data has been automatically input and properly sorted from the start in March., and the software is already out of beta testing and open for all to use. My last input from eBay on SL was just 20 minutes ago.
If you need to contact SL for help, simply go to support@sellerledger.com. They will get back to you in a reasonably timely manner. SL was out of beta and publicly launched just this last March, and they have been adding features and channels since then. So please give them some slack on getting phone support added. Until then, use the email link and tell them your issues.
Cheers, Duffy

The most simple and easy to use program out there is Seller ledger. I had quickbooks and it was a complicated convoluted mess. I suggest that sellers use the Seller ledger program.

Funny. I have zero problems importing transactions from Ebay with Seller ledger. Absolutely excellent.

Could not get the Wave program to work for me. It was very complicated. Better to use Seller Ledger.

The problem with Wave is that you have to have to figure out how to reliably get the data to transfer. For me, it was not transferring and i could not figure out how to get it to work. It was so messed up I just quit trying to get it to work. When I switched to SELLER LEDGER zero hassle. Seller Ledger is one simple program that captures everything essential for your business for tax time.

It’s EXCELLENT Duffy FOR SURE. EVERY SELLER who wants a simple easy to use affordable program should use it.

An absolute lifesaver! I was crushed when GoDaddy stopped their bookkeeping and every other site was so more tedious and expensive. This is the best thing to happen for ebay and other platform sellers!
