Most contracts and agreements of use is asked to go to and agree apond. They told me to go to user agreements when I Asked where it is explained that must have proof of purchase and receipts with items described. I looked everywhere in agreements didn't see. And opt out will be filled out anyone done? Sounds like have to opt out or do what they say if issue comes up. Just don't understand ebay would be bankrupt quick if required seller for this proof of purchase and extend to what required in email to get paid not cause of theft but cause no one keeps receipts from15 to 20 years and inherent or garage sales **bleep** most stores have just cod e s and brief lettering of items on receipts. Reading their user agreement seems super not legal with so many words like try to protect users when the word try is not legal and execpting defects. And how is all legal terms in salt lake UT when corporate offices in San Jose anyone ever look into if salt lake Court system making or receiving money from ebay just seems off

Please allow us to explain what information we still need:
- Documentation that shows that you purchased the items recently listed for sale on eBay. Documentation that will help us verify your items can include either manufacturer invoices or receipts. Unfortunately, we will be unable to accept photos of the items to fulfill this requirement. (NOTE: This documentation must show your suppliers' information, items purchased, quantity purchased, price per unit and your payment information.)

Asking also for the 4 items sold with good feedback is the reason they have put on hold

It's all legal, and if there was anything illegal that would require taking them to court which is a very expensive task.
This isn't public domain. Ebay can make anyone jump through any hoops they want. Being able to sell here is a privilege not a right.
Sucks, but if you can't meet eBays requirements then they will terminate your access. Actually they don't even need you to meet requirements because they reserve the right to terminate anyone for any reason.

With thousands of dollars of items you have recently sold, eBay sometimes will place a hold on the money for a month or so.
I do not know why they need receipts.
Are the items you sold high theft items or known to be counterfeited very often?

Recently a new federal law called the INFORM Consumer Act was passed by Congress. Since then, online marketplaces are required to keep tabs on suspicious selling activity to ensure that stolen or counterfeit items don’t end up on their platforms.
You are a brand new seller listing thousands of dollars worth of collectibles. Such activity triggers an internal investigation by eBay to verify the identity and legitimacy of goods listed.
If you cannot offer the documentation eBay demands, this may mean you will have to find an alternate means of selling your items. Just be aware of the fact that all online marketplaces are subject to the new law. Some may be more zealous than others in collecting data.
Hope you are able to resolve the matter with eBay. More details in your listings about the items may have helped you to establish a more secure foundation as an avid collector. That might have enhanced your credibility as a serious vendor who’s decided to sell their personal collection.
I wish you well where ever you land.

Guessing very simply because new seller with a barrage of high value sales in a short time frame.
Account created in May and like 5 sales in 2-3 weeks, appear to be $500 & $1000 sales and maybe more (one Best offer accepted).
I see the red flag there for eBay.
I think sellers that start slow and build slowly don't ever or rarely ever face this issue. Anyone coming on just dumping loads of high value listings or who has a rapid few high value sales gets "pulled over" and asked for "license & registration"
