I sell occasionally and sometimes prefer to do an auction over BIN. I like the auction format for my vintage hobby items that are in limited supply in the marketplace. This year, whenever I list an item in auction format, ebay shows a guage when I enter a starting price that decides whether the item has a high, medium, or low chance of selling at the auction's starting price. If ebay deems I have a Low chance of selling at my desired starting price, it automatically adds Make an Offer to my auction. My starting auction price is the lowest I will take so I do not want to receive offers. Ebay's algorithm is very innacurate for the items I'm auctioning. It's a niche market for these specialized hobby parts and an active marketplace. Ebay deems the starting price way too low - I could never sell for the ebay suggested price. Is there a way to prevent Make an Offer from being automatically added to my auctions - besides setting a too low starting price. Thanks!

Ebay is adding Best Offer to listings for new or infrequent sellers, and for items they feel are priced too high.
You can use the Advanced Listing form, that may enable you to remove it, but there have been reports of Best Offer reappearing after removal. So that may or may not be successful.
It has also been suggested to use the auto accept and set it for one penny less than the price listed.
You can explain to a buyer if they question this, that Ebay added it to your listing, you did not put it there. Or you can raise your price to accomodate a Best Offer.
Your choice, good luck! It can be frustrating.

Thanks for your suggestions. I'll give the Advanced Listing Form a try. It's not the worst problem in the world, I just thought I might be missing an option or something.
Appreciate you taking the time to help me out.
