So we have been selling on eBay for about 7 months now and would love to be a little more lucrative that what we are. I know our pictures could be better (gotta get some $$ for a camera, lights, etc.) We have 100% Feedback, free shipping, offer returns. I think I've got the keywords down pat, and I feel our prices are on par with similar items. So my question is what are we overlooking? Any help would be wonderful. Trying to turn this part time job into my full time job. Thanks in advance.

DId not check your listing, but just a suggestion.
Utilize every character you can in the title. I know you said you have the keywords down pat.
Keep listing new items daily, if possible. New listings help.
Clear pics are very important.
Just checked now and your titles seem good.
The descriptions are barely there. You don't have to write a book, but I checked the scrub top. There are no measurements.
So I would say work on your descriptions. Many buyers hit the back button when they see almost nothing as a description, and they won't email for info that should be in the listing.
Good Luck!

@mountainresellers Do NOT use characters in your titles, some seasoned veterans advise against that. Don't be afraid to raise your prices. Patience is the watch word for the day, week & month.

Despite all the constant talk about Best Match on this board, most of the buyers that I talk to say that they search for the best price.
If your prices are "on par" with other items, that is just another way of saying that there is nothing about your pricing that would make your items rise to the top of a "Lowest Price First" search.

I'll give you, as a buyer, what I look for. I looked at your New With Tag Unisex Cherokee White Scrub Top Large...being that it's unisex, measurements are a must for me. I buy quite a few preowned pieces of clothing on Ebay and measurements is what I look for.
You do have some really nice items too..just work on the descriptions a bit..
Good luck!!

I'm sorry for any confusion. Possibly I should have said, spaces! I meant just be sure to use all the spaces that are allotted to the title. You are correct about characters, mr lincoln.

Looks great! About titles, it's best the have the key words (brand, item, size etc.) towards the front and stuff like New with tags, Limited edition etc. should not be the first. But fit every thing that you can in there as mentioned. Also you can free up space using abbr. like NWT, NIB etc. that are common and well known. Looks good! Good luck~

If you don't have a high tech camera or fancy photo set up (I know this because I'm as low tech as you get) I have found that blacks and reds come out really well outside but not in the blazing sun, more like on the porch or just beyond the sun's rays reach. Some here can really get into advice about serious photography but for me I just walk out the back door and I usually get a pretty good representation of color FWIW.

The items you are selling are very competitive categories. It is possible that nothing you do will increase sales except adding more listings. It is just that there is so much to plow through that buyers almost have to stumble on some things.
I haven't tried it but if you get promoted listings for free with your store you may give it a shot. At least that may put you in the searches more. It may work for you.
Good luck.

Couple of thoughts.........
the new with tags, etc isn't needed in title and wasted space.......if you look at the way ebay displays on a search.....it's now shown underneath the title:
Plus, while people may search for new......I doubt many search for new with tag...... the first 3-4 words in the title are most important for search.....
You do need to think about key words..... that blouse is beige, silk, it is sleeveless, has embroidery......those are things people may search for and that I (not a clothing seller) would put in the title.
Also need meaurements in the description.....a 10 in one size/type...... can be a completely different fit. Attach a ruler/measuring tape on your desk infront of the keyboard and it's very easy to get the measurements. Some clothing sellers put a tape on the item and then take the picture.
Need more pictures, 2 aren't enough, that blouse has pretty embroidery.....you have no back view.
You also need to think about sizes....you have some smiley bags.......but I can't tell if they are 3" or 10"......... A wax Christmas tree........how tall? On some things it's a good idea to put a size reference....either a tape measure, coin, soda can, apple......people have different ones they prefer......
just some thoughts

You got me there and I am a very literal person! You meant characters as in special symbols, @ # &, etc. I meant it as something in each space! IOW utilize every bit of that title real estate.
But I must say I have seen recently where someone posted just a few spaces are best, so who knows!

I find the inconsistant levels of what should and should be done to get views and sales to be funny.
For example - Use all the spaces in the title. BUT there is the advice that only the first 4 words in the title are used in search criteria.
Or - Use all and even make up Item Specifics, but the new IS are not shown in the search boxes and you have to open up another hidden page to even see that there are more there to get to include them in search.
Or, Use proper keywords. When ebay doesn't bother to include keywords in search anymore, remember, Cassini is going to show you what you want before you want it. I have done searches where none of my keywords used in search have been in the title or IS or in the description in a few of the results of a search I have done.
So what is the point? ebay now admits publically in the new update that they are not showing all listings to buyers.
OP I took a look at your other items and I think that you are doing pretty good on ebay right now, about average. But if you want to change for the better, look at your stuff as a buyer. Personally I think you are wasting your time listing inexpensive items that has shipping higher than the item and once the shipping is added in, the item is now higher than you can get at the store. As a buyer, when i see something like that, then everything you have listed becomes suspect if I am looking for a bargain.

Great advice. Look at your listings as a buyer would. Pretend you know nothing about the item. What would you need to know? and add that.

That's good. I have found that listings where a very bright light is used, red can change from a burgundy maroon color to a bright red, which it is not.
