Antique crock age question

Hi all,

I have a crock with an Albany Slip glaze and ovoid shape.  It also has some incised lines.  No maker's mark.   I figure it's either 1900's or after 1940 but I'd like to be more exact.  The stumper is that the lid is marked 5 & 6.  Since it holds 5 quarts, I think maybe the 6 means it would fit a 6 quart size crock as well, but I don't know if that was a common practice back at the turn of the century.  Any insights would be helpful.  TIADSC00787.JPGDSC00788.JPG

Pretty sure it's a Redwing, they used that 5 & 6 marking on their crocks. There's an Albany glaze that looks similar to your picture. You might want to visit the Redwing pottery site. Probably later than the turn of the century, visit their site to confirm.
