Today it has been brought to my attention that my answers here are apparently offensive to some people. Believe me, that was not my intention. I was trying to point out that blaming the folks here for problems will not usually resolve the problem. Example: "What are you going to do about this?"
So will be taking a mini vacation. Will probably still read but maybe not post so often.

Some people interpret “to the point” responses as “offensive”. Those people can pound sand.
Your posts are not offensive. Don’t let those people bother you.

Too many posters only want the answer(s) they want to hear. If you can't tell them what they want to hear, you're mean, you're a bully, you're not being helpful, etc.
I've been known to tell people that if you only want agreement, look in the mirror and ask the question there.
Enjoy your break.

Never found you to be offensive........agree that some are more sensitive than others.......some are "willing" to listen, others aren't.. I'm certainly more blunt than most that post here....and tend to try to solve a problem rather than empathize which aggravates many. I "presume" the my empathy is obvious because I'm trying to help......but that is often misinterpreted. My fault? Sorry, just the way I am........and I think you are........

In all of the years I have been reading your replies, I haven't seen that you have posted any that were "offensive". We all have been a bit blunt in some f our replies, usually to people who refuse to accept that their actions or assumptions are wrong. I wouldn't take a vacation just because a few people can't stand the heat or truth.

So many crybabies...I enjoy your posts...sometimes being direct will give the right result. Hope to see you come back.

Remember our schooldays Dog Latin: Noli illegitimi carborundum.
😈
Still, if you feel like taking a break you have picked a good time: Nothing on any of the boards right now except outrage over the category eliminations, changes, item specifics.

No way, your replies are fine and don't be bullied by snowflakes who don't understand how the forums work. At times we read so many of the same questions over and over that it takes the patience of a saint not to lose it and scream check the boards for the other 500 posts on the subject.
I have been told to p*** off back to Au, that I am a cheerleader and a shill, an eBay ring in, what would I know with my (0) score, all of it is like water of a ducks back now.
I just laugh at them and think TSFE.

I have never found your responses to be offensive.
Moderate who contacted you is choosing to exercise his / her power by advising you that they found your response to something as offensive and in your case they are wrong as facts can never be offensive.
IMHO if you take a sabbatical then these people who think you respond in an offensive manner win.
No one should ever be abused or have foul language directed towards them but to be told politely that they are being silly, Unreasonable, unrealistic and or their sense of entitlement is misplaced at least to me is not offensive.
To those with authority take the boards down if all you require is for responders to NOD/ AGREE/ HOLD HANDS / PANDER to unreasonable eBay's policies abusers.

Without more context its hard to tell what people were so mad about. Was that quote something you wrote or something you received?

Oh, so the sensitivity police pulled you over. 🚔 It happens. You probably forgot to use one of the magic words; please, pardon me or I beg your pardon. I always end my posts with "Have a great day!' or something like that. That way at least I am ending my communication appearing to be sincere or on a positive note. I couldn't count how many times I have gotten pulled over and received a verbal warning. People "cry and whine" for the littlest reasons anymore. It's the new tattletale generation. I'm sorry, but I am sick of it just like many others are. I sure would like to know who all these people are that get offended so much. Well, in reality, we all know it is just the media creating click and bait articles for their ratings and those all-important 👍 or 👎. Have a great day!

I believe I saw the post to which you're referring.
It was hostile and abusive--and wrong. I gave it a big, old-fashioned eyeroll and a vigorous shake of my head and moved on to the next post. My advice is for you to do the same.
Keep posting, @soh.maryl . Don't you dare let a person like that stop you from participating on these discussion boards.

Unless you tell em what they want to read: they will be offended... Whats new???
Taking a vacation some times is good if this stuff is getting to you...

Reality check. Never once have I associated the word offensive with your responses. You're a valued member of the community.

Missed it..... stayed up all night readying/inputing/packing FBA boxes.
You don't mean another poster thinks that correct? Just another poster?
I got a PM yesterday upset about my post to an all caps poster telling them yelling at us who post here does not evoke change.
If this is another board, just ignore. People hate to be ignored.
