Every few days a see a new post talking about how slow sales are.
My sales are down a little but i'm not too worried about it. Sales seem to come in spurts.
I was just wondering if some of you would be willing to share your sales stats? I'm only interested in how many listings you have and how many sales per day.
I'll gladly share mine.
270 listings ... I average about 2-3 sales per day ... sometimes 0 ... sometimes 10+

Thought about just tripling all prices and see what happens!
I don't know about tripling prices, but I have found that with some items, a lower price equates a poor item and deal, while a higher price for the same thing equates a better item and deal.
As a buyer I buy from mid-priced sellers with good descriptions and pictures. I buy for myself, not for resale, so I don't look for the lowest price. When I used to look for the lowest price, I found that a lot of those sellers tended to overdescribe their items to make them sound better than they really were. A "good condition" booklet turned out to be a step or two away from the trash can, with a lot of flaws that were conveniently not mentioned.
I find that sellers who price higher also describe more completely and show the item in it's true light, not trying to hide flaws.
This is just my personal opinion on the things I buy and the types of sellers who sell them. (old cookbooks, recipe booklets and other paper food related ephemera mainly from the 1940s and 50s)

We have quit buying as much on ebay too. It used to be so much fun.
But, the days of buying went with the lower sales.
I just bought a few items I had been wanting.
With all the changes, I was afraid there wouldn't be as much out there.
And we like to use Pay Pal, spending what we have made. It's an easy transaction.
With the new payment system, it may not be.
Shipping has raised the price of things so, there is little one can buy and flip, which used to be possible.
How does a seller feel ok selling higher priced items? I would be so afraid of being ripped off.
Our sales have fallen off, but, we really must list.
The motivation is gone!!
We had a modest goal, hoping this would be an income stream.
But, try as we might, we rarely made it.
We just got some free listings, but With long tale "collectibles" )which seem not to be so much any more), we are really going to have to watch the calendar.
We will have to end everything before the relist fee.

So far, March has me selling an average of 4 items per day for an average sales price of $40 - An improvement over February where I was only averaging 2-3 sales per day (same ASP), and February was an improvement over January where I was only selling 1-2 items per day (same ASP) -
I have reduced my handling time, at the advice of a poster on a similar thread, and that is really the only thing I am doing any differently.
I take that back. I have also begun buying something small most every week for about the past month. Not sure if that does anything for MY sales or placement of my items, but the Cassini is so complicated that one never really knows, right?

Almost 4000 listings. Maybe 40 to 50 a week. But this is unusual. Usually about 30 a week.
Up 66% from this time last year.
Up 106% from last month.

Well 'm just back on Ebay after a few year absence. Started in Dec which I had my second best day I won't count since sales were negligent.Since the first of the year, I average 3.4 listings sold per day with a basic store. With extra free listing I average 250 - 300 listings. I had my second best day last Friday (dollar wise) and then not a thing since then. Extremely dead weekend with no sales, views way down etc. The only activity was 1 feedback. It really feels like you have days where you're invisible to the world. Good luck to all.
