A new technical glitch just popped up. Bad enough I have to switch from Safari to Firefox to be able to list somewhat efficiently as with the new listing tool the pages weren't opening and then when they finally did they would jump badly, so that you would constantly be deleting info as you wen't to edit your listings to sell similar.
I also have to switch between the new listing tool and the old as the photos load easier on the new one, but everything else seems worse as far as trying to change categories and info in all the boxes. not as much a problem if you are listing all the same stuff in the same category, but when doing multiples , it's lots of switching.
Now tonight half way through my listings the edit feature just went south. I keep changing the title, hit revise, it spits me to the top , i go down again and it says completed, but it reverted back to the original I was trying to change the info from. What good is that?
Par for the course. I also think the invoicing tool is still messed up. I was still getting errors yesterday. It's the ongoing problem we have been dealing with for a few months. 1/2 hour on the phone with 2 different people, just to report an existing problem they already have a record of. Who is running this ship? Can we do a much crummier job? Yet my performance is expected to be exceptional or I get penalized in one way or another.
Please don't tell me to go some place else if I don't like it, because there is absolutely no other site that does 7 day auctions where i can list what I sell 7 days a week. If there was please point me there. My $18,000 in ebay fees annually say I should at least be able to express issues with a poorly performing system we pay good money to represent our products on.
Some very simple things would make this site run much more effectively , but why listen to someone that sells $140,000 in sales annually on here and over 9,000 items a year, as well as buys another $30,000 worth of merchandise off it annually , when you can listen to a green horn that has never bought or sold anything but has a shiny new degree.

I haven't seen one seller say they are looking forward to the new listing "experience".
No one was demanding ebay change the way listings worked. I hever heard one person saying it needed a total redo. Look at the boards here, it wasn't a topic that was being demanded be "fixed" or changed.

I agree, I wish they would leave things alone. I only tried it, as for some reason I couldn't get picture to load at all, most likely because they were messing with the uploader. I finally got the hang of using the photo loader and actually the loader itself works better for me, but everything else on that page is terrible. When you change categories, you have to start from scratch, when all I want to do is change the make of the car item I'm selling. Also whenever you try to edit any of the boxes, it basically wipes them clean and you have to start over. Right now I use the new uploader on most pages, but whenever I need to edit the subcategories and other info, I switch back to the classic. Way Way easier with that.
I use a MAC so I'm not sure if the uploader works better with that than others but that's just my experience. Of course until they decided to change that, everything was working good as far as listing.
Just finished listing and was able to edit most of them that didn't list correctly, except one. I edited literally about 20 times from two different browsers and it still reverts back to the original title which is incorrect.
I also figure I need to learn to use it, as they eventually coral us like cattle through the gates to the new way. kicking and screaming even when it doesn't work.

Why aren't more sellers speaking on this new listing tool glitch? I'm using a windows based PC with Firefox as my browser, ever since last night, the glitch started in the middle of listing. After I submit a listing to be saved as a draft, it kicks me back up to the top and doesn't change anything. Today, I went to add quantities to my sold out listings and it wouldn't work, kicks me back up to the top and after the second attempt it still comes up as a zero quantity. Everything on the old listing tool still works fine, but if they are discontinuing the old tool, we are doomed. This is very frustrating, what is up with Ebay man, get it right please.

I kept getting kicked back to the top as well and would have to submit it again. Sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't. It also seems to upload all the photos, then out of the blue, delete them all and you have to upload them again. Not a huge deal, but with all these glitches it takes alot longer to list and who knows if your listings are right when you are all done.
I try to check them all, but again adding more work where there used to be none.
Maybe not frustrating for someone doing a couple of listings but I'm doing 30 a night.

I think you illustrate a great point people might not really think about.
Look at all the extra time you had to spend to get things correct.
Now expand that extra time "penalty" to 365 days a year. How many days worth of time now are you going to lose that you could have done other things for your sales if you didn't now have to waste it on getting listings out on ebay correctly? This is going to impact every sellers bottom line, especially big ones with lots of listings they create. Ebay doesn't realize this will impact their bottom line negatively as well. I really wish they would think these things through better. If it takes sellers more time to list items vecause they must fight the new listing page to get things posted and corrected, seller sales will decrease and ebay's revenues will decrease.

Seriously, this is a huge deal.
Its going to take ever seller longer to list items because of fighting the new listings page. The more you list the more time you will lose to other things.
Now factor in you will lose this time every day 365 days a year everytime you have to list or edit items.
Now factor in millions of ebay sellers losing all this time, 365 days a year.
This will translate into lost revenue for the sellers and Ebay. God they just do not think anything through soundly or clearly, do they? They push this stuff that nobody was asking for to fix a nonexistent problem, ignore the changes sellers beg for, and when they see revenue going south in the future becausd sellers are not listing as much as before because we now have to spend more time to list an item fighting the wonderful new listings process, they will blame the sellers and up the fees and probably add new fees on to make up the difference.
