Another day another SCAM

Sold a $600 amp and shipped it GSP.  I didn't want to risk it getting damaged so I brought it to UPS and had them professionally pack it and insure it for the full amount of $700.  The buyer took a picture of a TOTALLY DIFFERENT item and claims he didn't get what he ordered.

I'm requesting a photo of the box and label from the buyer.  Is there any chance ebay sent him the wrong box and what if they did not.  What if the buyer is trying to pull a scam?

@holsteinatlanta

Call back - TELL them it was a GSP shipment and YOUR package arrived safely at the GSP hub in Kentucky and DEMAND it be transferred to a GSP specialist.

Don't think that is correct.

Damaged, or INR falls on GSP

SNAD falls on seller.

Are you saying ebay will have to refund or the money wil come from my pp account.

I do think I see how it could have happened though.  I gave the UPS clerk my iPhone that had the address for GPS and had him ship it there.  Normall when I print at home my Zebra printer includes the item number at the bottom of the label and MAYBE the item just got shipped to GSP without that and they just shipped whatever to the guy.

GSP has a special number on their label that they index when item arrives so it goes to the correct place. If that number was missing hard to say what they might have done... but if it was missing from your label you might end up on the hook for the refund...

If you have a friendly buyer and they will tell you exactly what they got you can search ebays completed listings and find that item and the seller that sold it and see if they've been wronged also...

Yodel does not repack the box. But GSP sometimes unpacks your box, and then repacks it, possibly with a different item. So this is likely a GSP responsibility for GSP to pay.

It appears they are blaming the UK company that handles the delivery on their end. I would call it a INR because the buyer didn't recieve what they purchased,but seeing how GSP is a part of ebay they might lean towards SNAD.... You might end up on the phone chatting with ebay CS several times over the next few days..

The item that left UPS was 44 pounds and insured for $700.  The item they received was about 10 pounds.

You're between a rock and a hard place and there is no real bright spot. Someones going to lose and the selection is buyer GSP or seller....

Another angle you can also try is as a seller you are held responsible for the actions your carrier may or may not do and ebays GSP should be held to the same standards and held accountable for the services they hire internationally to deliver their merchandise....

Well it is insured for $700 and the UPS store knows they shipped a 44 pound box. My 44 pound box was successfully delivered to Kentucky. I'm hoping that this will be ebay's problem. I guess I have to call now. 'dread'
