Received notice on two of my accounts that I won't convert to Flea Pay's MP Scam that all listings would be shut down on 6/15/21. Well that date has come and gone and .... nothing. I have no doubt that eventually they'll do it, probably on 12/31, but it's clear they're not interested in losing these couple thousand listings and the revenue they'll pull from the sales. They keep calling and trying to get me to sign up; pathetic. Anyone else having a similar experience? They surely figured they'd lose some percentage of sellers when they rammed this **bleep** down our throats, just admit it Flea Pay and quit calling, grow a set, and shut down my accounts.

PayPal Fee Changes -- Effective Date: 2, August 2021
The percentage fee will go from 2.9% to 3.49% and the fixed fee will go from $ .30 to $ .49. I did not compute the percentage of the increases.

What are you even talking about? I had a balance from before with a bank transfer & those were added to the total. It's MY money. It's not "frozen" due to eBay. lol

Commercial transactions and nothing near 15%. Why be deceitful by making a false blanket claim?

actually the customer can exit when ever and that is not eBay. In fact eBay has yearly agreements and they must abide by them. Once you start managing funds you must by law allow an opt out. You cannot force anyone to change their finances prior to yearly agreement end date by taking fees for stores and not providing services. eBay knows it is on a slippery slope but it also know most Americans just follow whatever they are told even if their eyes and ears tells them the truth is the opposite. It is a money game

AFAIK eBay seem to be no longer auto switching to MP if a seller does not sign up by the latest date given.
They were early on, but as the time is getting closer to all being switched, they seem to be leaving them as is and will just pull the pin when they feel like it, so no more second chances I guess.
Those of you waiting for the shut down may wait for a while, then again, it may happen tomorrow. I would rather control my own destiny
I have been imported from Australia and this is my posting ID

@dnasilver wrote:Sorry but a few days on awaiting for your money is a loss. Ask anyone who knows finance.
You should try getting paid once a month.
Waiting a couple days for the funds isn't anything.

The customer can decide when they stop using eBay, but eBay decides when they can delete their account and for how long they are responsible for disputes and chargebacks.
Once you start managing funds you must by law allow an opt out.
The "opt out" is to stop selling on eBay before your Managed Payments date.
eBay knows it is on a slippery slope
I suspect eBay's lawyers know more about this than you do.

Yes it's a loss, but with ALL credit card and payment processing places except a few, you don't get the money fronted to you before the payment clears their system.

eBay's user agreement says that they can.
14. Managed Payments
When we enable your account for managed payments, to continue to list and sell on eBay, as directed by the payments entity, each transitioned eBay seller registered in the US must:
- provide the payments entity with information about you and/or your business to meet its compliance requirements, including those involving identity verification, anti-money laundering controls, and sanctions screening as required by applicable laws and policies; and
- pass such verification and screening and otherwise meet the compliance requirements of the payments entity, as determined by the payments entity; and
- provide bank account information for a U.S.-based checking account so that the payments entity can link such checking account to your eBay account, allowing the payments entity to pay you.

I'm going to post the same screenshot I did before, with PayPal's definition of "commercial transactions" highlighted for your convenience. I've also increased the size of the screenshot. Selling goods on eBay is clearly considered a "commercial transaction" by PayPal.
I also clearly stated in my Message #47 that "I did not compute the percentage of the increases." Since you brought it up, however, let's just go ahead and compute the percentage of the increase, shall we? The screenshot below shows you are correct--the increase is NOT 15%, it's just a little more than 20%.
Now let's look at the percentage increase of the $ .30 fixed per-transaction fee. Looks like that increased by almost 39%.
Now, you were saying?
