And the #1 buyer of the week award goes to...

Potentially have 5 false SNADs coming my way from this buyer. He bought 5 shirts and messages me how upset he is while pointing out that the graphic on the shirt is messed up. "The gray from the shirt is coming through the graphic on the [logo]." Telling me my shirt printer is running out of ink. He says the shirts need to be brand new as I advertised and not worn or damaged like this. The message ends with (the ever popular) pointing out that he is a retired Marine and he expects more respect and service than this... shame on me. He attached a photo of the logo on the shirt.

First I thanked him for his service. Then I pointed a few things out to him. The listing is for a shirt with a distressed logo style. That pattern is intentional. The title and description states distressed. The photos of the shirt (I attached it in the message as well as zooming in) in the listing showing the same pattern... matching exactly the photo he showed me while commenting that they are the same. Ended with stating the shirts are in fact brand new.

Buyer replies with further photos of old shirts he claimed to have purchased from me saying they aren't distressed what so ever. Telling me that I need to arrange a refund for these totally substandard shirts.

I checked and this buyer has never purchased anything from me prior to this recent 5 shirt purchase. I tell him it's likely that he purchased the previous shirt from a different ebay seller... who sells this shirt as non-distressed. I then tell him to file a return for refund. Looks like 5 false SNADs coming my way.

I called ebay about it and CS laughed actually saying his claim is B$. But as for removing the potential 5 SNAD dings? No can do. Have a great weekend y'all.

He should get a badge for his profile that says- I don't read listings, then I complain.

Or look at the photos.

"I don't even print on shirts but I'll pass the complaint onto my supplier." lol "Hey, your distressed shirt looks distressed."

I would have been tempted to reply "How the F was I supposed to know you are a retired Marine?"

But then sanity and professionalism would have won out with "Sorry you are unhappy with the items.  Please return for a full refund.  Prepaid mailing label is attached."

Those play the sympathy card messages are all too common.   I got paid by check for an item back in the old days and, per my TOS, held it for 10 days.  Got nasty message from buyer about 3 days later:  "My husband is president of a bank and he would kill me if I ever bounced a check."   How the F was I to know?  I still held the check the full 10 days.

I had this buyer last month that bought something for girls. The title said girls- as did category, specifics, photos, description. When the package arrived, the buyer complained that the product wasn't for adults and said how unclear the listing was- they attached a photo- a photo that clearly showed the word girls in big letters on their mobile view.

I told them they could return for refund- it was a free returns item. They said it was way too much work to return and couldn't I just refund them without a return. 😂

Lol. Not related to this issue, but I recently had a guy who complained about an item saying it's utterly worthless and asked "So what are we going to do to fix this?". I told him to return for refund. He said "That's not good enough, my feedback will reflect this. I'll just give it to my grandson." Then dropped me a neg.

I pressed the buyer a bit more asking if returning for refund is "not good enough", what did he mean when he originally asked to "fix this"? He replied saying how much of a busy person he is and can't be bothered with shipping an item back. He also said "And it's not like you're going to pay me for my time spent to pack and ship this back to you."

I asked CS if that counts as the buyer is asking for more than my obligation... and they said no. Simply because it wasn't a formal request or question. I chuckled but was able to get them to remove the neg citing another buyer feedback violation. This buyer didn't win the award because it happened a month or two ago.

I once said that in conversation to an overly sensitive friend of my wife and she got really upset and offended. Wanting to get into the semantics of the phrase, analyze what "average" means and why can't people fall exactly on average (not above or below). Calling our percentages vs grade curves. She said she didn't like me labeling so many people I "didn't personally know" as dumb.

I think the topic of discussion was about real estate and buying houses... not sure if that mattered. I ended up saying "Just forget I said that... it's just a saying"

Dear customer, I respect all my buyers equally. Besides that, I have no idea the occupation or former occupation of any of my customers,  but i do thank you for your service.

Sorry you were unhappy with your order. Please initiate a return with ebay  and i will gladly give you  full refund including shipping when i receive the returned items.
