Now I'm not blaming ebay for this. And 999 times out of 1000 the post office doesn't do this, so this time it's just that our 'number' came up.

This was sent to Brooklyn - shot right past it - second try came oh so close ... now on it's way back for the third try.  My guess is it will next land in Connecticut before making it to a house in Brooklyn that I most likely walked past oh so many years ago.

Not as bad as the shipment on other account five months ago - New Mexico to Bend Oregon - If we had checked the tracking that night would have noticed something was wrong, as it went to TX instead of AZ ...Two stops in TX then off to San Fran, then L.A... then backward to Riverside ... then back to San Fran ... then four days later it's in ANCHORAGE - then Spokane - then Chicago before finally his house 48 days late. Luckily the buyer understood.

We're not complaining, just posted for the 'laugh'

The post office hasn't lost a package of ours in the twenty years I've been here. Like you say, it always gets there. We even got an 'undeliverable - return to sender' glass coffee pot sent to SPAIN in 2017 back THREE years later.

The 31,533 post offices and 16 pages of processing and distribution centers [on the pdf I didn't open] do a great job considering the amount of stuff they most handle.

We're in a town of maybe 9000 'addresses' and the PO sends out four full trailers a day - two to AZ and two to El Paso. I can't imagine what my old zip code PO in Brooklyn - population of 75,000 plus - does in a day.
