foxbusiness.com/markets/amazon-bans-customers-who-make-too-many-returns-report
I'm just shaking my head at what ebay is trying to do. EVEN AMAZON (the one they so desperately want to be like) gets it!!! But it's okay with ebay because it's NOT THEIR product!

100% agree. buyers want to return an item after they admit in an email they wore it on a trip but decided it was just to tight! so as a seller I am suppose to give a refund on an item that I will be getting back used verses brand new! They also want me to pay their return shipping! Want me to refund them soon as I get tracking number verses waiting to get the item to inspect it. In the end I will end up with the negative feedback from the buyer and a used item because ebay will side with the buyer.

When Ebay robs you using the customer, you need to remind buyers you will be filing a mail fraud report AND contacting their mail carrier. Mail fraud report is done online quite easily.
Everytime I edit my multiple listing it changes the already solds to whatever I edit.
Then a disgrunted buyer thinks I am trying to scam him, when I really listened to their advice and changed it to avoid any future issues. The last buyer needed to be educated on that, he's not left bf so far
I have no problems doing this because it helps both sellers and buyers to not be complicit in criminal activity

So $ taken out of my account for return postage though item couldn't even have been mailed yet, it was Sunday. the post office hadn't opened yet! Scammers do great on ebay, honest buyers not so much
I used to use a little of my paypal balance to buy things on ebay, not so much anymore.
Just transfer it to the other well known venue and buy there because they cover the buyer.

I offer free returns because I really think it increases sales. Even though I offer free returns I average less than one per month. I sell hundreds of items per month. It is not mandatory to offer free returns. I do because I just thinks it good for business.

Ebay doesn't DEMAND FREE RETURNS !! Yes we all have to return items if a request is made. Almost every business has a RETURN policy. But if you are referring to ADVERTISING FREE RETURNS in BIG WORDS that is YOUR CHOICE to MAKE with the agreement you have with EBAY !!! I personally would NEVER ( PROMOTE ) a FREE RETURN on ANY listing!! That's just ASKING for TROUBLE !! Ebay doesn't DEMAND that I use the FREE RETURN ADVERTISING !! And I never would as they ( BUYERS ) see that as an INVITATION to purchase, use, abuse the item and return it to YOU !! No Demand !! Your Choice !!

Some of us will go bankrupt over this issue. The majority of the items I sell are $11.99. If I give free return shipping, I will lose money. Once again ebay screws the top rated sellers. First they forced 30 day returns. Then they dropped us from 20% discount to 10%. Then they took that away if you didn't give free return shipping. What is the point of being a top rated seller and busting my but to get orders made and shipped in one day?
Ebay is NOT Amazon and never will be.

Actually it is mandatory if you are top rated.
