REALLY BIASED SITE
How come my item sits with no offers.......just WATCHERS (IE OTHER SELLERS) waiting for me to crumble and or make a mistake ........the same sterling item, in worse condition, improperly describes, and crap pictures with a mono still sells for more than my item as mine sits with twice the shipping from UK
Seriously! I do the research describe the item properly take great pics ,offer a better price and shipping terms yet no reward for my hard work!!! **bleep**

Typically, only about 30% of buyers leave feedback and your score may be a little higher because there is feedback on products as well. You can see the total numbers that left it on your fb summary page.
I try not to make myself crazy with looking at my competitor's fb vs my own. Many of them use it to make purchases too, so it is an inflated number. Make sure you look at not only the length of time they have been here, but also their fb as a seller. I try to use this mostly as a seller account, so I know my numbers will be way less than my competitors. The fb may also give you an indication of what they have done differently than you.
Why not try sending offers to your watchers? I do that all the time and it usually does result in a few sales.
I hope you do well in this new year!

How come my item sits with no offers
@exceptionalantiques
There are likely a couple of reasons. First, eBay seems to have removed notice of the "Best Offer" when scrolling your listings. It used to be under the shipping price. I use a computer, so maybe it shows on a mobile app, but not for me. Of course, I don't know if it is another unannounced intended change, enhancement, or a glitch.
You also retain the buyer requirements that eBay gave you that require buyers to select a payment source in order to proceed to make offers or bid. Many buyers refuse to participate, as it limits their payment options and removes the opportunity for combined shipping. While it is supposed to cut down on non-payers, it also discourages buyers the actually do pay as well. You can see yours here:
https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/buyerrequirements
Buyer Payment Requirements
*Require buyers to provide a payment method before they place a bid.
*Require buyers to provide a payment method before they make an offer.

It might help if you put the weight of your sterling in your description.

Thanks the Payment info seems like possibly part of the issue!
As well as for the link!
I often do not accept offers!
I forgot to mention other seller who also did not include a weight of his silver
has 15000 plus sales!
Probably pays for a store subscription...therefore gets his substandard ads to sell!

Maybe you could try only listing one candy dish at a time?

Thanks for the suggestion
I just put my prices high enough to scare anyone off at this point
Sold my last Boyd knife for 380 today
$95 less than the last one I sold last month
Probably because I dropped the promotion to 2%
But I actually pass the savings to the buyer this way instead of
getting a 25% charge on an expensive item!
Anyway its hard to find good quality items!
Selling at a near break even is just obnoxious!
Hope I can hold out through this obvious dead zone that ebay has created
Should have given some power to the sellers
New sellers get stuck in a depressing rut of low offers and low sales
Despite their artistry and consideration

Just stick with it. It takes time to build a successful online business. I just started back selling after a more than a 10 year layoff from selling on ebay. Right now it seems to be slow but i think about all the bills people have from the holidays. Credit card bills and tax time right around the corner. It will get better so stop comparing yourself to a seller who has been selling for a long time. Focus on your store and keep up the good service and communication with your buyers. I wish you the best for a successful in 2024.

The main reason your sterling candy dishes are still sitting dormant is because they are all way overpriced. For one thing, buyers want to know what the bowls weigh, and the weight is not listed. For a sterling bowl the size of yours I doubt it would very weigh much over 2 troy ounces. No offense, but for you to get a good premium over melt value, your item would have to be something a little more on the special side than what your bowls are. If you have seen other buyers with the same exact bowls in the same small size getting more than what yours are priced at, then those buyers were simply lucky. Sorry if this sounds at all harsh. Just saying.

Are you using the AI for your descriptions? It looks like that, and if it is buyers are willing to spend that kind of money they want to read something that sounds less... generic.
