I just noticed today that all my sales ending times were in PDT. I am on the east coast and they were stated in my time zone until sometime this week. I called ebay, and after some back and forth, found out that this was a change that was made to everyone. All the stated times, in all areas of the ebay sites, are now in PDT. I can add on three hours, but it looks like it could default to the time zone we are in. Does this mess up anyone? In particular, I'm wondering about how ebay calculates shipping days and that sort of thing. I guess 24 hours is still 24 hours. I was told there was a notification sent, but I haven't seen it yet. Might be a banner on some page I haven't read.

OK, here is some additional information. Probably neither of the answers I got from ebay are correct. On the item page, 'Start Time' is in PDT. The 'Time Left' above the bid shows the day the bidding ends and the time. The time there is in my time zone, not PDT. That helps me, at least. I can do a check on when things end without adding hours. I will assume everything else is PDT and maybe it always has been. I sold on ebay 20 years ago and it seemed so much easier. The last three months have been a nightmare trying to figure out the rules and the weird things customers do. Thanks for your input all.

Did I miss a meeting?
I've been a seller in here for 22 years. It's ALWAYS been PDT no matter 'where' you live.

One good part....when the local (central) USPS sorting scans after midnight, to eBay it's still the same day. Those extra hours kept me on time more than once.

The ending times on all my listings have been in Eastern Time for three months. I set them for after dinner on Sunday. So mine changed sometime this week. I don't know if that holds true for other places, like on the draft page where you set a time to release your drafts, I don't use that feature, I just go in and manually release them all at once. But I have screen prints that show ending times as Eastern. One of the ebay agents told me it should default to the zone you register in. It was only after he gave me to a higher team member that I got the answer that I posted here. Still, that doesn't mean it's right.

Have to agree with you on this one it has always been PDT for as long as I can remember for both the start and ending times.
