eBay, you need to stop treating your most loyal long-term sellers with such blatant disrespect. ALL ITEMS SHOULD BE LISTED WITH THE SAME VIEWABILITY.
If items must be "promoted" by forcing sellers to give up what little profit margin they may have left in this runaway inflationary economy, you will soon have no sellers left except your favored fraudsters, cheats, scammers, drop shippers, etc.

ok...let's split hairs here....
You posted:
"...got them from customs..."
how did they "get" them from customs (short of your obvious implication)

I doubt eBay will ever run out of sellers of any kind.
Congrats on hitting 1000 feedback.

No one is being "forced" to use promoted listings. It is a seller's choice to use it or not.

Sure. No one forces you to pay taxs either...lol.

How do i opt out of paying taxes? 😉

You either give up the last little bit of your profit for "promotion," or they just turn off your items. What great choices! It's like "choosing between" Biden and Trump...lol.

Reducing the visibility of non-preferred sellers' listings is "restraint of trade."
I'm sure their fancy lawyers have other terms for it, BUT THAT IS WHAT IT IS.
HINT: It is illegal.

Actually, you are forced to pay taxes. And if you don't, they'll soon come and find you. Haven't you ever heard the death and taxes thing?

They do not "have" to show everyone's listings with the same visibility.
In fact, they make it very clear in the User Agreement, they do not.
PS - You also might want to spend a little more time researching Restraint of Trade as that does not apply here at all.

Of course. That's my point. THERE IS NO REAL CHOICE.

In my humble experience posting more stuff get you more views and more sales. Look like you only have 71 listings, and some higher end stuff which is bound to sell more slowly. I was able to increase my views (even though I ended all my promoted listings end of February) by keeping around 600 active listing instead of around 450-500 like I had before. I've slowly Increased my active listing count for a few years now and every time I do I get more sales. Just a suggestion! Try adding some more stuff and see if that helps with views and sales

LOL....I have 115 items active priced from under $100 to over $10,000....i.e. something for every art buyer.
Thanks for the post confirming that a large percentage of my items aren't even viewable when intentionally visiting my listings.
THIS IS WHAT I AM TALKINAG ABOUT, PEOPLE.

We all know big tech has a different set of rules than the rest of society; but yes, it is still restraint of trade no matter how the twisted legals twist it.

I don’t know what your margins are? Perhaps you are paying too much for your inventory? Most collectibles dealers usually pay 50 to 60 percent of retail or less. This leaves plenty of margin for the dealer to make a profit.
I buy mainly from other dealers wanting to move excess or inventory they don’t want because they acquired it as part of a much larger purchase. These dealers sell me stuff generally for 30% or less of my sell prices.
Like the saying goes you make money when you buy not when you sell.

My relationship with e-Bay is one of business. I have never felt disrespected nor have I been forced to employ promoted listings. I do not agree with some of the platform changes, but I am free to exit at will. Having been self-employed for a tad less than six decades, I understand the company's prime consideration must be given to their shareholders. If I ever decide conditions are unacceptable, it is my prerogative, just as it is for all sellers, to terminate and walk away.
