Why is it so hard to get in contact with an agent, I always call and they send me to the automated services on the help section of eBay, I just want to talk to a real person so I can actually resolve my problem, the problem I am dealing with is funds never being received and payouts not getting sent for certain items I sold.

You have ebay call you back. You can even scan down this entire page and where it says Help and contact, hit that. A actual live real human will call you back.

Years of reading this board leads me to believe there are a lot of sellers who haven;t bothered to educate themselves about the basics of selling on eBay. They have apparently never read the online documentation about things like
So I think the reason it is hard to talk to an agent is because eBay cut the staff in that area because is because eBay got tired of paying employees to answer basic questions.

Likely the folks on these boards will be more helpful than anyone you reach at eBay. We've been through and heard just about everything by now, collectively, so we can usually offer a reasonable answer. If you didn't receive payment, are you sure the item even sold? Did you perhaps get a scammer who sent you a fake payment email instead?

The "real people" /phone reps are poorly trained and will give you the answer you want rather than the one you need.
Use the social media reps instead.
It's slower.
That's a Good Thing.
The rep has time to research and consider before answering.
Do ask for a Payments Specialist.
And before you post your question, write it out, proofread it, and decide if what you wrote is accurate.

The social media Chat accounts are covered by trained eBay employees with some authority.
And you get a transcript so you can compare what you heard with what you were told.
