Did you mean:

Afraid to use an image from another website.

I want to create a listing of an item already on Ebay. Sometimes for certain items Ebay will give me the image to use when I click "sell this item". Around 90% of the time, I get a screen that asks me to add an image, for which I don't have the image because im dropshipping from my authorized distributor. I don't want to use the images from anywhere because i'm afraid of the warnings Ebay gives on pictures. Im at a loss on what I should do for pictures. I don't have the items. I don't have these issues on Amazon.

Do a google image search.

Let's say the item is a widget made by the  Acme company, model #2468.

Search for "Acme widget 2468".

You will usually get dozens of images that come up.

And yes, it will say that the image "may" be copyrighted ... but it also "may" not.

According to ebay:

No, you can't use images or videos from a manufacturer’s website, even if it is publicly available. Copying content from other websites or internet searches may be considered copyright infringement.

Then stop buying and seller those products. Period, it is against not only Ebay rules, but against the law.

In that case, it means that you don't have a good supplier. If the supplier was licensed to provide those items as a dropshipper, then their clients would be permitted to use the pictures.

There's something wrong in the supply chain here. Someone is violating the brand's IP rights, and I think it's the supplier who is giving the pictures of the product they are offering. But, if you use the pictures, then you're going to get the slap.
