I have a customer that want me to change the shipping address after a purchase because she cannot access her account again. I told her I couldn’t do that and she would need to contact eBay for further assistance. She’s insisting but I won’t do it due to possible credit card fraud. Can someone please help me further because now I have her order but she states she doesn’t live there anymore? She has a score of zero feedback. What process should I take at this time?

Thank you, she told me she couldn’t access her account to change the shipping address and that’s why she wanted me to do it. I canceled the order and told her to contact eBay for further assistance.

Buyer name does not match the user name. I canceled the order. Thank you for the response.

That’s what I thought. I was thinking why can’t she access her account again. The names are also different and she joined today. Thank you for responding.

So you cancelled the order for the real buyer that paid you, because someone else (scammer) contacted you to ship to them with some lame excuse?

"Can't access her account again" suggests to me the person asking to change the address is not your buyer at all, but some scammer who replied to your ended listing.
Ship to the buyer who's address was provided and ignore the other account that you don't have a transaction with. Don't cancel for problem with address, your real buyer probably knows nothing of this request.

To be clear, we're referring to the User ID on the message you received, not the person's name on the shipping address. For example, if I sold something to you, @a*growing*girls*closet, but then get a change of address message from a different ID such as @a_c_green, then I know that the message is not from the real buyer, and can be ignored. A buyer is always free to have something shipped to a person of another name, but their name and address has to be that received with the payment.
If the ID of the person sending the message was not that of the buyer who paid for the item, then it was a simple scam that the real buyer probably knew nothing about. This is commonly attempted on new sellers who have recently sold big-ticket items.

That's what's odd about this case.
The seller isn't a new seller and the items she sells aren't expensive.
The scamming buyer must just be doing Christmas shopping. 😞

Correct. This is the problem and I canceled the order. Thank you for assisting and understanding.
