I just wanted to put it out there that the add to cart is not working in Ebay Motors. I have already contacted Ebay about this but it still isn't fixed. If anyone else is having issues you should report it so they get on it. The last time I had an order with multiple items on it was 10/10 in the evening. I have been contacted by some customers not able to add to cart to get the combined shipping rate. I tested it and tried putting competitors items in my cart and it does not work. Only buy in now button. I was able to purchase some slippers and add to cart because it is in a different category. I really think it is just Ebay Motors and if you sell items in that category you should test it out to see if your items can be added with the add to cart button.

Hi @autopiacarcare, our developers are aware that this is occurring in some Motors categories. If you can provide a couple item ID's this is happening to then I'll get it added to the report. Thanks!

Thanks brian@ebay . We are seeing the same error message as shown in the screenshot from berserkerplanet above on desktop and on the mobile app it has an error message that says "Alert. We're sorry but the operation you requested cannot be completed at this time."

brian@ebay- Any update on this? This is very concerning especially with the sitewide 10% off sale going on right now. Buyers can only use that coupon once, which means to get the most out of it they are going to want to add multple items, maybe even from multiple sellers, to their cart before checking out. If buyers can't add our items to their carts, we are going to miss out on the benefits of that promotion.

FYI, this seems to be affecting anything we have listed in any of the sub-categories under Automotive Tools & Supplies, which is the large majority of our products. We do have a few listings under the Motors>Parts & Accessories>Boat Parts>Accessories & Gear>Paint & Maintenance category and those are able to be added to the shopping cart without any error.

This is what I posted in the technical area. This has been broken since 10/10/18
When you look at these categories, the customers normally purchase numerous items at a time and use the add to cart function to get the combined shipping rate. Also why have add to cart button if it is not allowed and it it errors? I feel like my issue is not being understood or I am not explaining it correctly.
When I try and add any of these items below to my cart this is the error that I get - You have one or more items that cannot be purchased through the shopping cart. Check the listings for more details about purchasing these items. The items that I am purchasing are not even my items that I am checking. This is just any item in these sub categories.

@autobodytoolmart- I think you explained it very clearly. I can confirm the same thing. Checking multiple products from multiple sellers in various sub-categories of Automotive Tools & Supplies results in an error when attempting to add to cart, both on desktop and in the mobile app.
I've tried it while logged in, not logged in, and even from my personal buying account from my home computer that is not in any way associated with this company account and that error occurs every time.

I've been on the phone with Customer Support for 45 minutes now trying to get some answers about this issue and am getting nowhere. They keep asking for the buyer ID that can't add our products to the cart even though I have explained multiple times that this issue is affecting listings in these categories for multiple sellers and it has nothing to do with a specific buyer.

I got this from one of my customers today. I don't know how but he was able to buy two separate items but couldn't get all of what he wanted in his cart to take advantage of the 10 percent off. I am still not able to put anything in my cart.
I was going to get the extra gallons as ebay had a one day 10% one time use only coupon that ends tonight since i couldn't get the items in cart so i could use the one time coupon i purchased what i could get in the cart the 3m grip filler and the dolphin glaze . (PS) i couldn't even get the 2 in 1 transtar spray can primer added to cart.

We received an order that had 3 different products on it, which would seem to indicate that the buyer was able to add them to the cart to checkout and have them all be on the same order record. However, all 3 of those items are showing the error message when we try to add them to cart now.
Here are the item numbers

In addition to that, our listings have had the "immediate payment required" setting removed. Did the CS rep I spoke to yesterday change our account settings without authorization?
