Ad Fees - Promoted Listings - Credits

I called CS and am banging my head on a wall as she has clearly never heard of promoted listings nor the credit store owners (or maybe it's for being TRS) get for the quarter.  I tried to work with her and got absolutely nowhere then I apologized but said I don't mind holding, please put me on hold and find out the answer, then she came back and still sounded thoroughly confused and said she would credit me but it would take 3-4 hrs to show.

I told her I don't need her to manually credit me it should be automatically done and I am just trying to figure out when I should recieve these credits.  Then I got really frustrated with her lack of ability to help me and I insisted I speak with a manager n-o-w.  I am on hold waiting for one now.  In the meantime maybe one of you can help me with this.

I used promoted listings this month and see that I have been charged some ad fees in my current activity log.  They are not a lot of money but it's the principle here.  On  1-16 I see a $1.10 charge, on 1-16 another $1.10 charge, on 1-23 (two) .80 charges.  Can anyone please tell when I can expect to see the credits for them.

Also, can someone please remind me how many $ credits towards promoted listings ad fees we are given for having a basic store.

Well the clueless (and I am sorry but that term does define her eBay CS knowledge) apparently didn't put me on hold to speak to a supervisor, she evidentally threw me into some sort of other que for something else -- I waited and waited all during the elevator music and being told via automation "please hold. someone will be with you shortly" for over 15 mins.  How maddening is that?   Some of their newbie reps really can make it painful to call in for help or information.

I literally have a headache from the whole ordeal.

If anyone has the answer to when I should expect to see these ad fee credits and how many I am given free for the quarter I would greatly appreciate it.  The CS reps could really learn a lot from most of the long time posters in this board!

Promo credit for January shows up on your invoice for February sales.

TRS get $30/quarter. I have no idea If store owners get some other amount.

Edit: it took me 30 seconds to find all the answers in the promoted listings FAQ.

Thanks.  Finally got through to a knowledgeable CS rep who is also a selling.  He confirmed I get a $30 credit for being a TRS (not because I have a basic store).  Also said the Jan charges I am seeing for ad fees will be credited back on my 3/15 invoice.  Basically the same thing you are saying.  It was a real challenge getting someone on the line who could answer.  I am not exaggerating when I say I have a splitting headache.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge and help.

Possible quick relief for a headache if you feel it primarily on one side...
Pinch the web of the your hand on that side with your other hand...hold for about 30 sec.

I usually see the credit a few days before my fees are due. For example, I will see January's PL fees credited back around the 10th of February, deducted from the fees I am about to pay on Feb. 15th.

You would be unique. January pl fees should be credited on your invoice due in March. Do you max out your credit every month?

I haven't yet, but I maxed out for the quarter in December, and received a credit for a dollar and change when PL fees were almost $9.

Hmmm... I've been noticing since yesterday that quoting someone here on the board doesn't say who you quoted. It just says:

and then the quote.

Someone posted that they announced this is a glitch.  Not sure where they got that, maybe in Announcements?

I spent over an hour on the phone 2 weeks ago trying to get my 30 per quarter credit fees put into my account from quarters 2 and 3.  Rep had no idea and called me back multiple times.   I still need to check this month's invoice but not holding my breath.   Clearly they do not have a good system in place for it to be credited.

That would be SOP for eBay. They have no trouble adding fees but seem to always have a heck of a time doing credits due.

btw TRS get $30 a quarter credit for promoted listings and I believe anchor stores get $75?

I have been using "promoted" listings for 5 months. I supposedly have a $30 credit for each quarter because I`m TRS however......every monthly invoice I have gotten only reflects ad fee charges....NOT CREDITS. I`ve gone thru 5 months of invoices and haven`t found an ad fee credit yet. Needless to say I have paused all my promotional listing campaigns until this is fixed.

I`ll pose a question.....why are we having to pay these fees upfront when we have a $30 quarterly credit in the 1st place? I`m done with promoted listings until I can clearly see where I`m being charged for each sold listing and where I`m being credited for each sold listing with my TRS quarterly coupon. So far all I`m seeing is charges and this has been nothing more than another money grab from me and into ebays pocket.
