Account Status and lack of views

I have had my account downgraded simply because I forgot to provide feedback a few times and also I have not been able to have my items relist automatically 7x. I listed it once and it didn't renew it.

I also don't understand why it wants to force me to pay a fee to get noticed when this was not an issue as of 3 years ago. So now i get zero views which is crazy since I would get views in the past. Do they simply dump my listing to the bottom and they don't get noticed any more?

You did not get downgraded because of not leaving feedback. That is an option for both the Buyer and Seller, not required. You get downgraded when your sales and or volume drop below the metric that eBay has set. You must always keep working to maintain a level or work to get to the next level.
You are not forced to Promote your items, that is your choice.

Leaving feedback is optional and it always has been. It does not affect your seller level.

They have also changed the way views are recorded, eliminating "non-human" page views, so, they appear to be much lower than you may have recalled from 3 years ago......

even if you do not promote, you are not "dumped" to the bottom

1) Feedback is a voluntary program that does not have any effect on one’s seller metrics. There was another reason for your demotion.

2) You are running auctions only. Auctions normally do not relist automatically the way fixed-price listings do.

3) Sellers have an option to promote their items. It is not mandatory . In what way are you being forced?

4) If your account has been downgraded to Below Standard, it is likely your listings get dropped lower in Search results. That could account for your lack of views.

Below is a link to info on seller metrics. It sounds like you need to familiarize yourself with how eBay works. It could be your selling privileges are in jeopardy, so the sooner you bone up on eBay’s inner workings, the better. Good luck.

Feedback is optional and has no bearing on seller status. If your seller status was downgraded, it was for another reason.
