I have a great seller reputation on eBay, and great customer service. I like to think of myself as what an ideal eBay seller should be. I feel like I have been mistreated, and with no good explanation.
I decided to sell off some hardware I had been using over the last 12 months, and this involved selling in bulk some equipment. I believe this activity may have set off some alarm at eBay, although it was still not a massive quantity of items, it was totaling ~16K net proceeds. I sold this hardware because I wanted the money. The day after I sold the equipment, my account was put on a temporary hold, I was informed after calling in that I would just need to ship the items, and all would be resolved. Once I shipped the items, I was told that the items needed to be delivered before the suspension would be lifted. I held up my side of the agreement. Now that everything has been delivered, I am finding out that my account has been permanently disabled, with what I am being told is irreversible. I find this to be completely unacceptable.
I now not only can no longer sell on the platform I have grown to love over the last 7+ years of use, but my funds are on hold as well. I am being told these funds will be on hold for at least 72-90 days, and possibly longer. I worked really hard for the money used to buy this equipment, now I am having to wait 3+ months to recoup the funds from the sale. I have been more than cooperative, and will continue to be.
So far I have:
- emailed the CEO (long shot, I read these emails do get responses from assistants)
- reached out to "eBay for Business" on facebook
- called in and spoken to the accounts/trust teams, this has gotten me nowhere
- replied to the message informing me of the restriction
Any other recommendations would be appreciated.

Give eBay what they want: that is the only thing you can do: they decide. They say no its no: they say forever it is forever.
Oh and it was them graphic cards that did this.....

I just find it to be unreasonable, they asked for proof-of-purchase, I provided it. They've said forever, they've said no...

The amount of fraud (counterfeit) items, as well as stolen items has got eBays attention recently: a lot of folks come here after they are forever restricted;
Truth is not anything we users can do.
Proof of purchase seems to not have satisfied eBay:
Its not eBay's first rodeo to say such...

What else did ebay request in your suspension/restriction notification? Also, did you upload all the tracking information & does it show an online proof of delivery?
Normally, ebay requests all items that are paid to be shipped, & then you have to show proof that everything was delivered to the buyer. Ultimately, they will ask for copies of invoices to show that you purchased the items & aren't drop shipping, etc. Plus, they could ask for additional items from you.
Hang in there!

I expect your funds will eventually go to your states unclaimed property division so watch for that.

I will keep an eye out there.

Shipping labels were purchased through eBay and automatically linked to the orders. 11/13 packages have been delivered so far. Copies of invoices were provided for the items ordered.
I received the following message, am I fighting a losing battle?
"We understand that this situation may be frustrating; however, although future emails from you will be read, we will be unable to respond to any further requests to reinstate your selling privileges."

It's just total crap, eBay has monopolized this space... I have things I want to sell, I have hundreds of dollars in packing materials dedicated to my eBay store.

Sorry to say but that message from eBay sounds like the kiss of death to your account.

Honestly, I could live with losing the account. It sucks having nearly $16K locked on hold for who knows how long. It is also tough knowing I may be banned from eBay for life!
"You will no longer be able to use your account to sell on eBay and any new accounts you set up may also be restricted."

You could try filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau BBB.org. As pub;ic complaints eBay will have to respond publicly.
Additionally, and have no idea what would use a basis, but if eBay is keeping your funds, which it appears they do in some cases, with no reason explicitly given maybe you want to file a complaint with your state Attorney General or the Federal Trade Commission and CC eBay's legal division (I believe their address is online). Did they say they were counterfeits? Did the get a complain that you were distributing goods by a brand that doesn't recognizes you as a distributor? Something else?
I think eBay has a responsibility to give a clear reason, quoting their terms and conditions, for the permanent suspension. Failure to do so, will never allow the user to be sure that eBay is even complying with their own T and Cs. You can also consult your own legal counsel.

Money will eventually get to you: It will go to the registered sate to the account that this went on with: may take some time but it will end up with unclaimed in the state.
