So odd. My spouses account was hacked. The person tried to buy a graphics card for $800 and then sent an email to the seller asking them to send to another address.
The good thing, is the seller knew it was a scam and didn't do it. The bad thing, while the PayPal account was his, my name was on the account as a send to address and now the seller has sent my name to eBay as a scammer.
I have my own eBay account and am worried this may affect my account. I don't want MY eBay account to be flagged as a scam account. 😞

Did you inform Ebay that you were hacked? Be sure to scan your computer, change your passwords, etc.

Hi all,
Mr. dance spent THREE hours on hold with eBay and never got a pick up. I wished he had been offered a call back option.
My account so far, hasn't been affected. Payday isn't sure how the transaction was completed, since there was no activity on PayPal for the purchase, but when the seller cancelled and reversed payment the money came back through PayPal on It's way to the original source.
So, very thankful that the seller recognised the scam and disregarded the email asking for the item to be shipped to another address, which of course is just a forwarder used primarily for the country of Georgia.
I'll update after we talk to ebay.
