Did you mean:

AI is creating a big mess on eBay.

AI trucking everyone's  online  activities ,collecting and storing ,analyzing behaviors and making ridiculous decisions to punish peoples  like shadow banning  on multiple platforms affecting visibility of selling items .

Promoting your items can make eBay happier but if you sell cheap used items with small margins  it is not worth it.

Re: AI is creating a big mess on eBay.

I myself did many reports about Counterfeit items from China ,also reports of Stealing Items Photos and Descriptions by scammers.!

Nothing has been done by eBay staff.

They don't care about  buyers get Scammed and screwed.

And the real Genuine Sellers treated the worst way.

Re: AI is creating a big mess on eBay.

There are marketplaces which are comparing prices on their site to prices on other sites. They are doing things that lower the visibility of non-competitive offers on their sites. Ebay is not one of them. It need not be.

Its Best Match search has always taken into account an offer's pricing, among other characteristics of the listing. It is not AI from any technological methodology, though some day they may apply a higher tech tool to the process.

Your offers are in an extremely crowded category and more likely to be affected by your competition and whether they pay to promote than anything else. They may also be affected by your history. Many sellers in your category are not naturally customer-friendly.

Your category is noted for high returns rates, online and in B&M so it is understandable why sellers are not all that customer-friendly.

People who are doing their own auto repairs are often doing so because they cannot afford to pay someone else. They add to the pressure found in your category.

I would not generalize from your experience, and would not promote fanciful theories of why a seller experiences problems selling in your tough category.

Why,  if that is your evidence that Ebay is a mess due to AI?  C&P only takes a few seconds to accomplish.  So you are depending on the Google AI to tell you that the Ebay AI is a "big mess"???

How do you define Troll?  Is it anyone that sees things differently than you or those that may ask you questions?

I warned you of this earlier in the thread.  You started the conversation but you don't want to give any details as to why you see things the way you do.  Having a one sided conversation is rarely productive or satisfying.

What do potentially counterfeit items have to do with the subject you started the thread on?

You can't "steal photos" on Ebay.  Once you post them on the site, they are fair game for anyone to use per the User Agreement ALL sellers agree to when they set up their selling account.

Whatever blob Google regurgitates at the top of the search results is a perfect example of AI not being used correctly; it only sums up whatever the most popular answers are and can be easily manipulated.

Also, I gotta say it’s hilarious that you post a thread complaining about AI and trolls when all your replies are typical bot answers: never addressing questions asked in posts they’re replying to, unable to back up statements and always using poor grammar and spelling… 🧐

Oh, well, you're late to the party hollering about this stuff - it's been a problem for nearly two decades, when Meg Whitman tried to break into China. Everything you cite is an old problem, well pre-dating "AI", and no, not much is being done about it because Capitalism! My advice to you (since I actually DO work a bit in the field) is to get a better grasp on AI and actually what it is (it's not 'intelligence', it's just fast computing with big data). It might help focus.

Not sure what that is supposed to mean - but your biggest problem here seems to be that you came in here with your conspiracy theories and no actual proof. It took you by surprise when people here asked you to cite actual sources and evidence. You did not have any real sources or evidence - just a feeling that AI is out to get you - and thus you resorted to bluster and telling people to look it up for themselves.

Sorry but that is not how things work. It might even help YOU if you were to learn more about AI and how it functions.  It is not the big scary monster that you envision but it does have some serious impact in all areas and it is best for you to read more and learn about it. Coming in here and telling us the sky is falling is not going to work.

No one is being paid to post here.

Also, by the definition of an online troll, you do appear to be the only one qualifying for that title:

"An online troll is someone who intentionally tries to upset or provoke others in online communities, often through inflammatory or disruptive behavior. They aim to elicit strong emotional reactions from users, disrupting civil discussions and potentially causing emotional distress."

(Yes, that definition was shown to me via Google AI.)

Edit: I could explain posting ID's to you too and why some of us therefore have 0 listings on our IDs, but I don't expect you'd be interested in reading the answer.
