WATCH OUT RBAY SELLERS.
If you ask for advertising help from Ebay.
Two things are sure to happen:
The lure is the placement, and easier sales?
It is a fact the Ebay controls all selling placements. If your on the POO-POO list, your listing may get the worst placements...
Advertising advantage: Ebay offers a more advantageous placement, with some implied promise of results, a 1%-2% discount, this is approximate, the Sellers fees on that item. 8-9% fess instead of 10. That number is posted, when you buy. The cost, of that service is posted in your selling fees, 9%-10% of the sale.
but this adds up to 9-10% additional ad fees, for that advertising help.... )r 16@ to 18% Total selling fees.
Not withstanding any of this, The new policy started in March, "Buy it Now" listing are automatically "relist" with the same terms.
You have to be tougher when you sell here!

An understanding of what Promoted listings are is always helpful before you start to use the program. It is a great program for some and not for others. Each of us have to decide for themselves it if is worth the additional expense. It is our choice to make.
Ebay does not promise that buyers will purchase from you. Promoted listings can increase your visibility. Running a sale in your store can look great to potential buyers. Etc. But Ebay can not and does not promise that buyers will purchase from you.
Selling fees are stated in the Ebay policies. I'm sorry if you misunderstood them, but Ebay does not hide what our selling fees are. You may have missed it or misunderstood it, but they are stated.

Not all listings that have a Buy It Now in them was affected by the March 18th change. Auctions can have a Buy It Now button and that is just fine. Nothing has changed for auctions.
It was Fixed Price listings that had a significant change to them. There are no longer multiple duration choices on FP listings. They will all be GTC [good til canceled]. There are 100's of threads on this subject as this change was announced of February 26th.
