ACCOUNT RESTRICTED

SO I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO SAY THIS BUT MY ACCOUNT GOT RESTRICTED LAST WEEK. IT STARTED BY EBAY TELLING ME I NEEDED TO PROVIDE PROOF OF DELIVERY FOR A COUPLE ORDERS NOT EVEN THE NEWEST ORDERS JUST LIKE A MIX OF NEW AND OLD ORDERS. I DID PROVIDE THEM WITH THAT BUT THEN I NOTICED THAT ON THE SOLD SECTION THE TRACKING WAS NOT SHOWING AS DELIVERED. I CONTACTED EBAY CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY TOLD ME THEIR BACK TEAM WAS GOING TO BE FIXING THAT ISSUE AND IT COULD TAKE 48 HOURS. THEY THEN SENT ME A REQUEST TO UPLOAD AN ID, BANK STATEMENT, AND MY BUSINESS DBA AS WELL AS AN INVOICE FROM MY SUPPLIER. I SENT ALL THAT AND STILL WAS NOT RECEIVING A RESPONSE FROM THEM. I GOT DESPERATE AND STARTED SENDING A MESSAGE AFTER ANOTHER ABOUT WHEN THEY WHERE GOING TO BE RESONDING TO MY REQUEST TO REOPEN MY ACCOUNT AFTER I HAD DONE ALL THEY HAD ASKED FOR. MY FEEDBACK IS 100% POSITIVE AND I HAVE NO ISSUES AT ALL NO CASES NOR CLAIMS OPENED. I WAS TOP RATED AND EVERYTHING WAS GOING FINE. THE DAY BEFORE THEY RESTRICTED MY ACCOUNT I HAD POSTED ABOUT 100 NEW ITEMS WITHIN 5 HOURS AND EBAY AUTOMATICALLY GAVE ME A NEW SELLING INCREASE OF AN EXTRA 13OK AND I WAS LIKE GREAT THAT MEANS I AM DOING SOMETHING GOOD BECAUSE THEY GAVE ME THAT INCREASE WITH OUT ME REQUESTING IT BUT THEN THE FOLLOWING MORNING AT 9AM THAT IS WHEN THEY RESTRICTED MY ACCOUNT. NOW THEY CAME BACK AT ME TELLING ME THAT MY ACCOUNT IS COMPLETELY RESTRICTED WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO SELL AND THAT EBAY CANNOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT NEITHER GIVE ME AN ACTUAL REASON AS TO WHY THEY DID IT. I DO NOT THINK IS FAIR BECAUSE THEY GOT TO BE KEEPING 12.9% FOR FEES AS WELL AS AN EXTRA 10% FOR AD FEE. NOW MY REST OF MY MONEY IS GOING TO BE ON HOLD FOR 60 DAYS UNTIL I CAN SEE IT AGAIN. THIS IS NOT FAIR AND I WANT TO KNOW IF SOMEONE ELSE IS GOING THRU THIS AND WHAT THEY CAN RECOMMEND ME TO DO. I HAVE INVESTED A LOT OF TIME AND MONEY AND NOW I HAVE NO CLUE AS TO WHAT TO DO,

Hard to say what is going on but suspect it could all be because of un-delivered orders.  Is USPS / FedEx / UPS showing delivery?  Did you upload that tracking number into the orders and into any not received cases that might have been opened?   Tracking must be uploaded again into a not received case even if you bought the labels on eBay!

 

Also wondering who you have been contacting.  Strongly suggest contacting real US based staff with authority using the Facebook messaging feature on the eBay for Business Facebook page.  Send a private message (not post a chat).  It takes several hours for them to respond but... They should be able to give you a clear reason for suspension.  The offshore phone reps often get it wrong.

 

Please don't use all caps if you can avoid it.

You should file a ONLINE complaint with Better Business Bureau at BBB.com     EBAY will take about 2-3 weeks to contact you and it is "possible" to get your account reinstated.   State your case clearly (dates & action taken).

 

Or you can try contacting EBAY Rep (in USA) on EBAY Facebook for Business.    I am not exactly sure "how you get message to them" but I am sure other Sellers can explain this process better.

Thank you so much, I honestly had never had any of this problems. It is just really insane how no one appears to be able to help when you ask for something. I guess they just hire outside people to answer automated responses.

Contact the Attorney General and the FTC the BBB Better Business Bureau is nothing but a facade but the attorney general and the FTC can make things happen five days ago eBay lost a 3 million lawsuit for harassment intimidation another serious charges I know they are doing this to a lot of sellers and probably some buyers we need to stand tall nobody's too big to fall...

Often the next step after a request for tracking on some number of orders is the request for ID and invoices.

 

When the invoices do not appear to be from properly authorized suppliers, the permanent restriction results.

 

Sellers are not told why.

 

Due diligence on your suppliers is the best prevention.

 

The anti-counterfeit efforts are creating issues for some sellers.
