People are always asking about ways to increase sales and attract more customers.
This is what I did with one of my first web sites, long time before Ebay and it worked.
Think about this, how many time have you been running errands, sitting at a stop light and you notice a bumper sticker or sign on the vehicle in from of you.
That could be your bumper sticker or sign they are looking at.
Get a domain name, something that when people see it, they'll want to check it out just to see what it is.
Have your domain redirected to your Ebay site.
Get you a bumper sticker or small sign with your domain on it, one that will stand out and get people to notice and place it on your vehicle.
How many times a day do you see a vehicle with some kind of sign or banner advertising something, there's no reason you couldn't be doing that also.

Is this what you meant?
I had to blank out part of the name in the photo (but obviously not on the car itself) to avoid complaints of showing my off site URL. (Another poster did complain once)
But, really, once they are they why would I direct them to eBay. Wouldn't it be better if they just bought the stuff there? No FVF, no automatic returns, no third party siding with the buyer, etc.
With the added bonus that I can sell things there that eBay won't let us sell here.

Nice car.
It's good for the ones that don't want to set up their own web site.
I agree, it's better to just buy from your web site, but some don't want to deal with their own site.
That's one thing I like about my own site, I can sell what I want and don't have to worry about the item getting pulled.
I've got a 77 Firebird and hoping it'll be that nice some day.
