Congrats... I am curious though about how you contested the feedback.
Did you claim that the buyer could not have been telling the truth because there are no smokers in your home?
Or did you argue that the buyer failed to contact you in advance of leaving feedback and thus the feedback he did leave was unfair?
It seems all the more striking given that so many buyers have left positive feedback for you referencing the smell of smoke on their orders.

I just decided to check the seller's FB & after reading the first 2 pages of comments, do not see 1 mention of smoke odor.

Good news for you. Surprised it happened because there are instances when I have proof of delivery & still am out of luck concerning FB & payment.
The New Year is starting out ok here. No sales on day 1 but, maybe, 3-4 on day 2 thanks to Marketplace. 🙂 364 days of sales would be amazing! lol

That's because you are a bit late to the discussion. As of this moment, there is only one left -- there were about 8 or 9 a few days ago (but don't take my word for it -- read the comments of others on the previous post by OP on this topic).
I suppose that this is very good news, in that eBay is taking the side of a seller for a change.
Or perhaps eBay decided that buyers could not mention cigarette smoke in the same comment as they expressed satisfaction with the item?
Whatever the case, this is a great way to start out the new year @meme6253 and I am glad for you. Let's hope that eBay decides to be flexible with even more sellers in 2025. regards

I had one new sale on New Year's Day, Hopefully feedback matters for sellers will improve this year, I am still in favor of abolishing feedback. Best Of Luck this year.

Thanks for passing that along.

I don't mind a feedback system as long as it goes both ways. Non-paying buyers need to be called out. I'm back to 100% so that won't disrupt potential sales if given the chance.

A Happy New gift from eBay to you! !

Do we allow positive posts here?
I'm glad things worked out for you.

Although I'm sure we're all happy for you, why make this a new thread as opposed to an update to the thread in question (which would bump it to the top), or at least include a link to that thread in this one, so we can see what the case was about? Also what do you mean by "the customer service team" -phone, chat, social media? And what did you do to convince them to remove the feedback?
