I have over 5000 items listed, some of my newer listing titles are getting changed somehow. I do all the posting myself, I double check part numbers at the begining of my listing, and reverify part numbers prior to posting item, yet as of last week I have had 3 now that buyers have pointing out that my listing of title does NOT match pictures! I did look over some of my other listings and they came up ok. Anyone else notice this?

Are you by chance using AI when you are creating your listings?

The word NOS does not belong in the title.
It goes in the Condition description box:

No I'm not using the AI!! Thats why im so confused! How can some of the part number be right but not towards the end of the number! I never changed the numbers after copying and pasting into my description! But the correct number is/was in the description.

What difference does it make if I put NOS in the title or not when the numbers are changed?? I put it in my title to save some picky buyers to save their time and mine! I had it that a buyer thought buying a new old stock Kenworth part should have a the same warranty as the actual dealer would offer when NOS wasnt in the title!!

It sure sounds like ebay is sneaking in to your listings and changing the titles.
Sneaky.
Very sneaky.

Do you actually view every new listing right after you make it and proof check everything or hurry on to do another one?

I've done sell similar from my own listings which were correct in preview only to have them revert back to the original (either the title or images) when they actually went live.

pure speculation since we can't see the listing........
There are some items that were/are in the "ebay" catalog. Using a UPC in a listing (perhaps other #'s in motors), a listing could be linked to the "master" item page for that item which had multiple listings for that particular item....... Sellers often found that there were discrepancies in the item specifics/titles of that "master page" .... compared to the original listing. It was/is possible to get to the original listing(s).....which can be correct, but you have to find the link to it on that master page.........
There can be totally wrong items on that "master page" because sellers grab the wrong UPC # for their item and because mfg can change specs but use the same UPC#........
I don't think they are still making these master pages any more, but there are still some around........again......pure speculation that this could be the problem. Sellers learned to avoid it by leaving out the "number" so their listings couldn't be linked to the master page.

I have run into that about 5 or 6 times out of maybe 40,000 listings over the past 4 years. Also had the photos vanish a few times too. Always spaced far apart though, not a continual thing.

Another reason to verify the listing immediately after it's put up. I've never previewed any listings, why waste time, what's the point? Just work to get it up, click to view it from the confirmation page and check it's correct.
