My recent encounter with a seller went like this:
She had two items up for bid with the option of best offer. I made an offer on both. She accepted the offer on one and told me to pay for that item before accepting the offer on the other one. So I did that, hesitantly I figured she must know what she is doing. Then she accepted the second offer. So I paid for that one too. Neither one had free shipping. So I paid for a shipping fee twice and she said she was going to refund me the difference. She acted like she didn't know how to figure this out. She said there were going to be two shipping labels and this was confusing to her. But it was her own fault it turned out this way because this is the way she told me to pay for the order. All she had to do was accept both best offers at one time and send me an invoice with modified shipping total. So she eventually told me she talked to Ebay and they TOLD her to cancel the order and just relist the items and let me buy them again. But now she has relisted them and they are up for bid only and not best offer. Meaning I have to wait a week just to have the chance to possibly win auctions for items which had already been mine! This is a seller with with nearly three thousand feedbacks left and 100 percent positive and still she acts as if she's new to shipping and selling! I called CS and all he said was don't buy from her anymore. And said try to buy from sellers with better feedback next time! I told him what her feedback percentage is and he said you can't always go by that. So this is a CS person telling me I can't trust Ebay's own feedback system. Ebay truly is broken. If this sounds confusing to you it's because it was a confusing experience for me too.
