A Very Simple Question for the Powers-That-Be

I sell multiple items on eBay and I use the item number to locate the items in my database.  Been doing it that way since I started selling on eBay around year 2000 & it has worked well for me.

Used to be that I would get the "Great news—your item has sold!" email and I could scroll down to the item number, copy it to the clipboard and look it up in my database.  Somewhat recently, eBay removed the item number from the "Great news—your item has sold!" email. 

Why?  As in, "What was the reasoning behind its removal?"

Now, I must click on the item title link in the "Great news—your item has sold!" email, to go to the eBay listing, scroll down to find the item number, which I then copy to the clipboard and use to look up the item.  Its more steps for me, so its more hassle.

Is it too much to ask that eBay restore the item number to these "Great news—your item has sold!" emails?

Inquiring minds want to know!  🙄

Yes. Ebay just being silly ebay. 🙌

It's likely a billionth of cent cheaper to send without the number but also you can be sure whoever designed the new page never sold anything on eBay.
