I just sold a item and the payment went straight to processing and said will be available in 2 days even though I have yet to ship it...Should I be concerned or just go ahead and send it ??
Thanks Ebayer.s3

If you are in Managed Payments, you ship when e-Bay tells you to ship. What does it tell you regarding this order?
I would think payment processing would be exactly what should occur.
If your order status instructs you to ship, I would ready to ship it tomorrow, as today is a postal holiday.

If eBay says ship it, ship it. Some sellers are not shipping until the funds are actually in their account but this is really not necessary I have never had a fund transfer that did not complete. That is not to say it could not happen but the risk is very small compared to all the problems that can, and do occur after the buyer receives the item.

Is this your first sale under Managed Payments? If so, what were you expecting to happen? If not, how is this different from your other sales?

Ship it as soon as possible don't delay buyers because your waiting for funds to go into your bank whilst processing. There should be no issue sending as soon as you get the buyer payment is confirmed message. Sellers who wait for the payment to hit the bank and make the buyers wait 2 or 3 days before shipping are conducting a poor business practice.

Yep... 'Processing' is where the payment goes first. I can't imagine it will be available in 2 days, though, Holiday and all...

When eBay tells you it's time to ship your sale, ship it! according to your listed s/h time, which should only be a business day or two -- or three at the most, if you want some time for allowing the buyer to cancel before you ship.
The important thing to remember is that when eBay says it's time to ship, your payment is already secured. It is only waiting to be processed into your bank account by eBay/Adyen and your bank.
For those delaying sellers reading this and not necessarily meant for this OP:
Some uninformed sellers foolishly and stubbornly insist that they will not ship until they see the money actually in their bank account. Sometimes that will take many more days if a weekend and/or holiday is involved. Those sellers are taking the risk of a negative shipping rating, actual legitimate negative feedback, or the buyer noticing an unnecessary s/h delay on the item and bypassing the seller entirely for another with a reasonably quick shipping time. Sometimes the buyer will even pay more from another buyer just so they can get the item quicker.
Buyers are not stupid - they want their item ASAP after they pay... Think business and customer service, with the hope that the buyer becomes a happy return customer.
Cheers, Duffy
