80% off variable fees on a non auction items

I stopped selling on eBay some time ago, but I was lured to list one item recently when I got the "80% off variable fees" offer.

Upon completion I was obviously charged the full 13%, so I had a look into and have a question for you as it seems this offer is a con.

The discounted rate must be within the original listing duration which makes sense, however any non auction items can only be listed as "Good till cancelled" which I'm sure is not covered.

Am I missing something or is this "offer" only for auction style listings?

I haven't seen this particular offer but from what you describe.....

It applies to Fixed Price only

It applies if sold within the initial 1 month period

Once it renews you can either let it run and pay full fees if it sells or end the listing and not sell it.

I haven't seen this offer either, but in any offer, you have to read the details on the actual offer. There are often hoops to hop through, and you have to hop through them or you don't get the deal.

This is the board in the US....and you are in the UK.........Since the offer probably is limited to the UK.......probably best to ask on that board.........
